Theres over hundred new spooners here lately, so I thought it was probably time I re- introduce myself…
I’m Zoe, this is my little pup Nova 🐾, and we’re the faces (and paws) behind SOZO SILVER.
We live in Devon, and spend our days in the workshop turning vintage silverware and recycled silver into jewellery, as well as hand-stamping wonderfully inappropriate words onto usable cutlery. 😂
Throughout the year, I take orders through my website, making pieces for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, gifts and all those lovely little just because moments.
Then there are the events and festivals! When I’m out and about, it’s roughly a 50/50 split between jewellery and my collection of sweary cutlery. Spoon rings are particularly popular at events, so most of those never even make it onto the website.
And SOZO really is a family affair…
My mum comes in one day a week and helps me make up bulk stock for events, as well as doing all the polishing and enamelling. She also brings lunch and makes the coffee, which is obviously a very important part of the operation. 😂
My dad comes antique shopping with me to hunt down the vintage cutlery, and I choose every single piece by hand. My stepdad is roped in too — he’s my festival buddy, so you’ll probably spot him alongside me when SOZO is out and about.
You’ll find me at various events and festivals around the Southwest throughout the year, and in November - December I’ll be at Exeter Christmas Market 🎄✨
And when we’re not in the spooniverse, We are usually somewhere outside. I love walking, adventures in my van, time with my favourite people, friends and family, and generally disappearing into nature whenever I can.
