October is Kelly's month. 🖤
Halloween isn't a season for her, it's the thread running through everything she makes. Gothic, pagan and supernatural are in every ghost cat, every skull and every tiny glowing oddity, and they're there in March just as much as October.
Here's the strange part. October is usually her worst month for sales.
We think that lots of us want Halloween decorations we don't have to store, so they go in the bin on 1 November. It adds up. Reports suggest the UK creates around 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste every Halloween from costumes, accessories and decorations, and a lot of it is single use.
Kelly's pieces are made to be kept. Unless you're cool AF and display your spooky things all year, in which case you already know.
Want the story behind the maker? Kelly shares hers in the book Beyond the Ordinary, a collection of 30 women's stories. Her chapter is called A Journey of Resilience and Triumph.
