Good evening all,
Its been a really good day in the studio today, spent restocking some hand made gem stone earrings, gemstone stacking rings and some rather lovely gemstone stand alone rings. I've got a couple of spinner rings half made - cant hammer when Toby is with me cos he hates it so they are sitting half built waiting for a puppy free half hour to get the hammering finished.
Its been a particularly nice day as its now my 1 year anniversary of giving up proper employment to become self employed growing Halton Village Silver.
On a personal level its been a very difficult year, which many of you know about and have been fantastic in offering support - Thank you.
On the other side, its been a fluffing amazing year. I don't think I can even remember all the amazing things that have happened but I'm going to give it a go!
* We are finalists in the Visit Cheshire Experience of the year award, and had great fun with the mystery shopper
* Workshop attendance is growing, which means that we have more lovely people coming to visit than ever
* Our permanent jewellery offer has got properly underway
* I've been privileged to have got some lovely collaborations organise, including workshops booked with Marsh Farm Flowers, Norton Priory and Number 13 in Frodsham
* The Pet Print Pendants has been soft launched, with some really lovely results and feedback. Once we get going on this properly I know its going to be such a lovely thing
* I was invited to be in a pod cast - How marvellous!
* The studio has a fabulous write up in Cheshire life, have you seen it?
* I did a bit of formal learning and now have an adult education qualification and just waiting on the final marks for the At the bench Silver Jewellery Diploma
* I got to speak as a panel member at a Digital Cheshire event - I didn't shut up!
* I've had the opportunity to work on some projects with some lovely people, it was great to do some photos with Keith and working on AI for small businesses with Will
* The monthly business group, hosted at the studio has brought some really great people together, and been loads of fun - thank you all
I'm pretty sure I could go on for a lot longer, as so much has happened over the last 12 months but this post is already really long!
I really want to thank everyone who has been a part of Halton Village Silver, not just over the last year but right from we started this adventure.
