Not the most glamorous part of flower preservation… but definitely one of the most important! 😷

Before soldering your pressed flower wall decoration, I make sure I’m properly protected. The mask might not be my best look, but keeping myself safe while creating something special for you is always a priority!

A little glimpse from Sunday’s wedding show 🌿 thank you - as usual amazing event!

Such a lovely day meeting so many brides-to-be and chatting all things wedding flowers — especially how your bouquet can be preserved long after the wedding day.

Curious what happened to this peony?

Peonies are beautiful, but they’re also one of those flowers that can be particularly challenging to preserve. Their full shape, layers of delicate petals and high moisture content mean they need a little more knowledge and patience to get good results.

Over the years, I’ve worked with all kinds of wedding flowers – from delicate, easy-to-press varieties to thick, fleshy blooms that need a completely different approach. Depending on the flower, I use different drying and pressing techniques to preserve as much of its natural shape, colour and character as possible.

This peony was carefully dried before becoming part of a larger composition made from the bride’s wedding bouquet, eventually preserved between glass as a wall piece.

Not every flower behaves the same way, and that’s a big part of bouquet preservation: knowing which technique to use, how to prepare each flower and how to bring everything back together afterwards.

POV: “I can make that” is both a blessing and a curse. 😅

My daughter needed a Polish folk corset for her school’s Diversity Week fashion show. Buying one never really appealed to us; nothing we found had the look or authenticity we were after.

So I made one.

Four days, a clear piece of velvet, and some late nights later, it went from a few pieces of fabric to a finished corset.

With another couple of days, I’d have added much more embroidery, but I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I’ll keep adding those finishing details later.
Everyday, I make jewellery, but every now and then I love disappearing down a completely different creative rabbit hole.

My monthly reminder that I have absolutely no self-control around vintage maps… 😅🗺️

A quick visit to the Canal & River Trust second-hand bookshop somehow turned into another stack of beautiful old atlases and maps coming home with me.

Every one of these will eventually become a personalised piece of jewellery or a keepsake, giving these old maps a brand new life.

Watching remembrance flowers slowly transform into a lasting memorial piece 🌸

Every flower is carefully dried, pressed, arranged and preserved by hand over the course of around three weeks or sometimes a little longer, depending on the blooms and the season.

I know these moments are deeply personal, and funeral flowers are rarely something people have time to plan ahead for. Because of that, I always try my best to accommodate last-minute enquiries, even after the service has already taken place.
