There’s something about wax carving that’s very special. It’s quiet. Just you, the tools, and an idea that doesn’t exist yet. Sometimes it’s better to go in blind and let the creativity take control.

Every cut is a decision, but you can always add more wax back if it goes wrong. The only forgiving part of making a ring.

One of one.

The idea was simple, let the two metals meet and don’t hide the join.

The gold seam runs along the corner of the face, polished against the patinated silver. It reminded me of kintsugi. The crack becoming the most interesting part.
