What a lovely afternoon—it felt like Christmas came early!
I popped over to the Culloden Battlefield Culloden Battlefield NTS today to hand-deliver a restock for the shop. While I was there, I also met Nadja Nadja Fischer , an Outlander tour guide who was visiting the historic site with her final group of the year.
We even exchanged early Christmas gifts! I gave Nadja a pair of bespoke Craigh na Dun filming location earrings, and she gifted me a pair of handmade Claire Fraser-style wrist warmers that she knitted herself. Such a thoughtful and meaningful present—I’m absolutely thrilled!
I also finally picked up a miniature bottle of The Sassenach wh**ky from the visitor centre. Galloway Distillery as a wee pressie to myself. I’ve been wanting to try it for ages, so finding the small bottle was perfect—no need to commit to a full bottle just for a taste! Looking forward to sampling it tonight.
To top off a great afternoon, I met a few lovely members of Nadja’s tour group, and one of them even bought one of my Culloden necklaces. Thank you so much for supporting my wee business and the National Trust for Scotland!
It was the absolute perfect way to unwind after a busy week in the studio.

What an incredible surprise package from the talented Chapelhead Crafts!
They sent over these custom wh**ky barrel plugs straight from Speyside, complete with my name and logo etched into the wood. 🩷🌈 I’m honestly blown away by the surprise & craftsmanship.
🤭 Seeing the wee bottle included in the box, I fully assumed it was wood oil to treat the plugs. Turns out it’s a dram of proper Speyside wh**ky! 🄃 Definitely glad I checked before rubbing it into the wood or even my skin!
Seeing these gorgeous pieces has given me fresh ideas. I can see a certain coo on them!
Huge thank you to Chapelhead Crafts—your detail work is absolute perfection. SlĆ inte! Do check out their Instagram. They make fab pieces using wh**ky barrel wood - furniture for any wh**ky aficionado! Some pieces are even dedicated to Outlander fans! **kybarrelfurniture

Looks like the Glencoe Visitor Centre display is looking a little light on stock!
A huge thank you to the lovely Amy from ATom Tours Scotland šŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁓ó æšŸšŽ for taking this photo today and sending it over! What a perfect coincidence—I actually spent today at the workbench casting for them.
Swipe to see what’s fresh off the ladle and getting ready to fill those empty spaces asap. Restocking some of your favorite Textures of Scotland pieces so the display gets the full, sparkling love it deserves.
If you’re passing through Glencoe soon, keep an eye out—fresh handmade treasures will be back on the shelves very soon! Glencoe National Nature Reserve NTS

Torryburn – Witches Stones
For the final piece in this collection, I visited Torryburn in Fife to honour the story of Lilias Adie.
Accused of witchcraft in 1704, Lilias was an elderly woman who died in prison before she could be executed. Because she died without a conviction, her prosecutors feared her spirit might return. She was buried beneath a massive, heavy stone on the foreshore between the high and low tide lines to pin her spirit down.
Taking a direct imprint from the stone that was meant to trap her memory felt deeply emotional. What was intended as a place of restraint now serves as a quiet monument of remembrance.
With this final piece, I remember Lilias and every Wise Woman who stood firm in the face of fear. I can make most of the pieces in various pre set shapes or as free flow pieces. Visit Fife
