Busy couple of days in Downham Market. 🌧️

Leylandii hedge reduced, Eucalyptus removed from growing from within a Golden Cypress, siding up removing some over hangs above some solar panels on a contorted Willow, and lifting the skirt on a pair of weeping Willow trees.

General spring cleaning tasks such as Crown lifting, Crown reduction & Crown cleans (Thinning) & Deadwood removal.

Our customers lawn had no sun reaching it with the dense canopy above. “That’ll let the light in” 😎☀️🌳

Removing a very tall, self set Holly (Ilex Aquifolium), Today in North Wootton.

Our customer recalled it appearing in the corner of her garden randomly some years ago, within the blink of an eye plenty more years passed by, when they came to look again the tree had established itself and had grown too large for the space it sat in, leaning heavily towards the road. The tree will be replaced with something more suitable and less invasive in due course…

Reducing further a line of Poplar trees today in North Wootton, we recently worked on these trees at the beginning of spring, whilst Re - Pollarding them to original cuts we found them to be in pretty bad shape and since then agreed with our customer to bring them down to a suitable and safer height.

Working in Congham today at High House Gardens, I’ve always wanted to work at this place & being local to the area it has been a pleasure working here today.

Various tasks this morning included removing a dangerous rotten Pine tree,
Felling Some small Ash trees down the drive way, Dead-wooding a veteran Oak & Crown lifting another over the Garden wall.

Then moving onto felling some dead Sycamore trees & cutting some clearance on a phone line.

Couple of little jobs today in Pottrow.Cherry & sorbus, then tidying some conifers up.

Adapt - improvise - overcome

Definitely a first for us, Removing this large fallen Ash tree today, over in West Bilney.

The tree had fallen from our customers woodland clearing and fallen right across the Trout stream and into the farmers field, needing to be removed before June for the local farmer needing to get machinery into the field.

A head scratcher to begin with sectioning the large timber and removing it with some good mechanical advantage, lots of rigging gear & two 4x4s, then onto felling a large dead & dangerous Ash tree in our customers woodland. A real Epic team effort.

Sycamore dismantle, today North Wootton.

This tree had some serious underlying health issues, Sooty black bark disease & a significant hollowing from decay at the base of the tree.

Trees with this particular disease can appear lush & healthy but decline rapidly, especially during hot summers. Given its position & surroundings it was time to go.
