NEW IN STOCK! 🟢 1950s Longines Flyback Chronograph Cal. 30CH Ref:5965. This beautifully preserved Longines, with original Archive Papers, incorporates the flyback chronograph complication. Unlike a conventional chronograph, which requires the user to stop, reset, and restart the mechanism in three separate actions, the flyback allows the chronograph seconds hand to be instantly returned to zero and restarted with a single press of the reset pusher while the chronograph is running. This mechanism requires additional levers and carefully coordinated control of the column wheel, making it significantly more complex than a standard chronograph. Such watches were originally developed for professional timing applications, particularly aviation, where immediate re-timing of successive intervals was essential.
