Grief is so strange. Im on holiday in Turkey having a great time and part of me looks out to the beautiful sunset when im on a boat and ot hits me like a tidal wave. My grandad was a sun chaser. he absolutely loved it. He would come home from holiday a completely different colour than when he went. He loved going to nudy beaches too 🤣

When i was listening to the water I allowed myself to just sit with ny grief. Hold it, because thats ok. Sometimes you need those moments to just be. To not think about anything else.

That's what I did. I stood there with this beautiful sunset, the waves crashing at the back of the boat and just blanked out for a few moments thinking about how much my loved ones that arent here would love this.

My grandad who loved being abroad. My best friend who always loved sunsets and the water. Then my son Charlie who should be 10. Who he would be now and if he would love this as much as his sisters.

October — Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month

I am 1 in 4.

Behind those words is a loss that will always be part of my story.

Perhaps that is also why creating memorial jewellery means so much to me. I know how precious the smallest keepsake can become when it connects you to someone you love and miss beyond words.

It is an incredible privilege to create pieces for other families who have experienced loss, and I never take for granted the trust placed in me when you ask me to work with something so precious and personal.

Every piece represents a much loved baby, a story, a family, and a love that will never die.

This October, I’m remembering my Charlie, and all the babies who are loved, missed and carried in our hearts every day.

To every 1 in 4, I see you. 🤍
