Happy Mother’s Day to all the UK moms out there ☀️

Being a mom is the hardest job that I do. It has the highest risks and also the highest rewards.

It’s also the reason that I continue to work as a jewelry designer. Kids are all-consuming, but I love having this separate, creative part of me that I can pour into my work. It forces me to balance who I am and how I spend my days.

I like that my kids see me trying, failing, succeeding, doing what I want, owning my own business. I want them to know that they can do anything.

I would be lying if I said I’m doing both (mother and business owner) really well. There are days I wish I could spend all my waking hours working, days when I don’t want to quit in the middle of a creative moment to do school pickup runs.

But it’s this very flexibility that I have in my job that allows me to be there for all the things that they need me there for. Even now, when they may not even want me there 😛

I know many of my customers and clients are moms, and many of my followers are also parenting while running a business. I see you all, and I deeply respect you for the all the work that you do, both in your families and your work, for the hardness of it all, and for all of the love that goes into everything you touch.

Here’s to all the moms that make the world go ‘round. Happy Mother’s Day!
