"I could never just work on the computer it's always got to be physical. The computer can be very deceiving, you can't really get a sense of scale, you're looking at this object from below like it's a building or from the angles you like, it's not natural. - It would be very hard to get the sophisticated shapes in the computer straight away, I model with upholstery foam and move it into shapes I like, it's such a fluid way of working, so refreshing working by hand and physically manipulating the material."
