Maria Khan is a Hong Kong-based jewellery designer, now living in London, she trained at the London College of Fashion. Her eponymous line has always attracted a global clientele; experiences in her person life have always been at the heart of her designs and have offered her much inspiration. With ties to the Middle East, Paksitan, India, Hong Kong and Britain, she has been exposed to a rich variety of cultures. These influences have been at the very center of her work and are expressed through her designs. Many are drawn to the uniqueness of the pieces, each of which tell their own story to be treasured forever. Maria Khan Jewellery has been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle, to name a few. “I Do.”

Two small words, carrying a lot of weight.

Leading up to this day, I was carrying fears from a life before this one — not quiet ones. They made me physically unwell. My body was still holding onto something my mind hadn’t fully let go of.

And still, I chose to walk toward this day. Toward a man who only ever gave me strength, never doubt.

Then I said “I do.”

And just like that, I felt light like a balloon finally let go, floating somewhere soft and free. The fear I didn’t even know I was still carrying simply lifted. Within seconds, everything in me shifted. It became the happiest day of my life.

Weddings have a way of surfacing things you’ve buried. I felt it in real time.

So if you’ve been here before if you know what it costs to open your heart again it’s not easy. But choosing someone who feels like your strength, your peace, your home? That will always be worth it.

We often hear that we are all works in progress - and with time, I understand this more deeply.

Life keeps teaching us. We grow, we learn, we unlearn, and sometimes we discover parts of ourselves that are ready to be released.

As I move closer to 50 and step into a new chapter, I am realising that healing is not about having everything figured out. It is about meeting yourself with honesty, kindness, and courage.

Sometimes, the things we carry are not meant to come with us into the next season of life. Old fears, old patterns, old doubts - they can be gently acknowledged and lovingly let go.

This chapter feels like an invitation to live lighter, trust more, and continue becoming the woman I am meant to be.

Here’s to healing, growth, and beautiful new beginnings.
