How good it feels to take a proper break and see the world from a different perspective and immerse yourself in a different culture! 🇫🇷
We packed the car with dogs and teenagers, took Le Shuttle and drove through France 🇫🇷
Stopping periodically to stretch our legs and practice our pigeon French in as many boulangeries as we could find 🥖🥮
The roads in France are SO smooth and pot hole free ( I think I bored everyone in the car by constantly commenting on them 😂)
We arrived in the Dordogne to spend some time with my darling friend and her family who are basically my extended family 💗
So many gorgeous meals in the evening light ✨✨✨Felt like heaven 💫
The stillness and the panorama vastnesses in comparison with my usual central Hackney perspective was so calming and restorative
I think my shoulders have dropped an inch ☺️
Omg did I mention the sunsets?
After a blissful stay we continued car tripping and met up with my crazy fun little sister
And her family!
We swam in the most tranquil lakes in the 37 degree heat
Walked pretty French streets in the cooler evenings
Found my French equivalent shop 😂
And sadly witnessed first hand the horrendous effects of the French wild fires that burned 100 miles away
I am so bloody grateful for this break - thanks for bearing with me! I’m back in the shop this weekend and ready to smash through all of the gorgeous orders you have placed 🙏
