NECKMESS PRO TIP 💘✨
One thing I always recommend when styling a neckmess?
📸 Take a photo of it before you finalise the layers 😉
Mirrors and cameras show jewellery SO differently! A stack that feels balanced in the mirror can suddenly look too busy, uneven or “off” once you see it in a photo 👀
A quick photo lets you:
✨ See the overall balance properly
✨ Check your layers are sitting where you want them to
✨ Decide if it needs more… or less (rare!😅)
✨ Spot tangling, overlapping or awkward spacing
Another HUGE tip, especially with antique jewellery 💎
⚠️ Be mindful of the more delicate pieces knocking against each other!
For example:
✨ Diamond pendants can rub against chains or other pendants, wearing on the settings or losening the stones over time
✨ Some gemstones are more delicate than others and can be damaged if they knock against other pieces
✨ Enamelled pieces should ideally not bang against anything at all
✨ Antique settings and delicate details deserve a little extra protection 🥰
Taking a quick photo also helps you see:
📍 How pieces are likely to move when worn
📍 Where pendants naturally settle
📍 Which layers may swing into each other while walking around
Sometimes just adjusting ONE chain length completely changes the stack 🤌✨
