Tomorrow, two ONE OF A KIND pieces from my ongoing Muñecas de Cartón project will be joining my Sample Sale. 💛
I hope you fall in love with the story of these beloved Mexican paper mache dolls as much as I love have.
The piece pictured is a pendant featuring a paper mache doll, beautiful super iridescent mother-of-pearl and a repurposed German silver mount, finished with a rhodium plated chain.
Each piece is unique, a hand made sculpted piece made with love and inspired by a tradition that holds a very special place in my heart.
I know that investing in original, one of a kind work isn’t always easy, so I’ve priced these pieces as accessibly as I can while honouring the time, materials and thought that go into making them.
I would love for these little pieces of Mexican heritage to find homes where they will be treasured 💛.
Available now on line / tomorrow as part of my one off Sample Sale.

Congratulations to Modern on the opening of Frida: The Making of an Icon. I can’t wait to visit, learn more about her extraordinary life, admire precious objects and paintings I haven’t seen before, and immerse myself once again in Frida’s world. Who knows, it may even inspire a new collection!

To celebrate the opening of the exhibition, I thought I’d share a few of my jewellery designs inspired by Frida. She has always been a constant source of inspiration for me, bringing me so much joy and a good luck that I’ve affectionately nicknamed her my Santa Frida.

I’m so grateful that our Frida is here in the UK once again so we can celebrate her remarkable life and legacy together.

You can discover the collection at www.irisdelatorre.com

I found this photo while scrolling through my phone looking for a headshot. In this photo we were living in Epsom, right at the beginning of my business, and Cito was still a baby. Funny how one picture can hold so much and contain what I was feeling: creativity, experimentation, and the early days of figuring things out. Looking back, it really captures the essence of how it all started. Happy Sunday :-) 🌼

Hola! ✨
An extremely belated Happy New Year 🤍 I truly hope 2026 is a beautiful, full year for you.
I’ve been away, living, loving, and spending precious time with my family in Mexico. I’m so proud to share that I became an auntie again to a tiny miracle baby girl and I am completely in love. It’s been such a gift to step away from business and simply be to reset, to feel and to return with intention.
Now as I re enter, I find myself in reflection and I’m not entirely sure where I’m headed but as always I do know I want to create work that feels deeply personal and meaningful. Work that is part of my identity and evolution. This practice is part of who I am, and I’m excited to reshape it in a way that aligns with where I’m growing next.
There is never a shortage of ideas and I’m always open to conversations, propositions, and collaborations if something resonates with you. ✨
Happy Year of the Fire Horse 🐴🔥

This animation was made by my gorgeous and very talented son based on illustrations made for the 2018 V&A Frida exhibition! ❤️
