Discommon Goods was born out of a desire to create the pieces that were stuck in our heads. Collaborating with designers from all fields (from automotive to super yachts) we have given a simple promise: work with us and we will make exactly what is in your head. 20 years of using 3-D printers and they still make me just as happy as the first sunglasses I printed at Oakley. A little joyful magic machine that makes ideas touchable. Though we design a lot of larger things now, my main passion resides in the feedback from fingertips touching something. From our first textured bottle openers to the aggressively economic forms that we have created since then nothing beats being able to run fingertips over a form.

Park Hyatt approached us to develop a series of bags for PH New York (and later Chicago). This is an extremely elevated tote with a handle design pulling from the “waves” down One57, the iconic skyscraper that houses the hotel on West 57th in midtown. It was a fun challenge to move toward a true luxury ex*****on vs technical in nature.
