During medieval times in Britain, mythical creatures served as personal emblems for royal and aristocratic families, signalling lineage, pedigree, and allegiance. Inspired by the Royal Beasts that guard Hampton Court Palace, this pendant imagines the mythical yale springing to life after dark. Carved from black onyx and white opal, the leaping creature creates a piece rooted in heraldry, history, and imagination.

LADY ALICE'S TEMPLE
Nestled within the grounds of Hillsborough Castle, the royal family’s residence in Northern Ireland, Lady Alice’s Temple and its reflection in the lake inspired this pendant. At its heart is a 10-carat Santa Maria aquamarine, prized for its exceptional blue hue - a depth of colour rarely found in aquamarines. Tsavorite garnets add flashes of green, echoing the woodland planting that surrounds the temple’s secluded setting.

LADY ALICE'S TEMPLE
Lady Alice’s Temple, a small ornamental garden structure, was gifted to Lady Alice Hill by her brother, the 5th Marquess of Downshire, in 1867. Set within the grounds of Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland, the temple inspired this ring, which features an aquamarine weighing over 15 carats, alongside Ashoka diamonds that echo its reflection in the surrounding pool.

GREAT VINE
This suite features gold leaf motifs, accented with vibrant peridots, garnets and diamonds, reflecting the movement of the vine’s branches and grapes. A satin finish has been applied to the gold - a technique rarely used in Boodles’ history - to echo the natural texture of the vine itself.

Inspired by the renowned Great Vine in the gardens of Hampton Court Palace, these rings bring its colours to life. Rhodolite garnets evoke clusters of ripe grapes, while peridots reflect the freshness of the vine’s greenery.

GREAT VINE
Planted in 1768, The Great Vine is the world’s largest grapevine. Now over 250 years old, it remains a celebrated feature of the gardens at Hampton Court Palace and still produces hundreds of kilograms of grapes each year. The ‘Great Vine’ suite takes its inspiration from this remarkable living landmark, featuring gold leaf motifs alongside peridots, garnets, pink tourmalines and diamonds.

SILK MANTUA
This beautiful 20 carat Madagascan heliodor was hand-selected by the Boodles design team to perfectly complement the yellow silk embroidery of an 18th-century silk mantua. Like the mantua itself, every detail of the ring has been considered, with teal sapphires and brilliant-cut diamonds adorning the setting of this impressive cocktail ring.
