Just wrapped an intense and inspiring week in Las Vegas and NYC.

At JCK Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Antique Show, it was energising to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones. The mood at the Antique Show was vibrant with strong sales being reported. JCK felt more measured transactions were fewer, but the sentiment was far stronger than expected, especially with the current tariff pressures in the US.

From there, I headed to New York City for my first WFDB Presidents Meeting. Global leaders gathered from the President of Botswana to high-level reps from Angola, De Beers Group, IDMA, World Diamond Council (WDC) , and more.

In those meetings, I made it a priority to speak up for our bourse members, especially those feeling the pressure of today’s rapidly changing market. Their role as the beating heart of the trade cannot be overstated. They are the true value creators deeply connected to both product and people.

There’s no quick fix but I am committed to evolving, defending, and supporting our members as we all navigate the challenges of the emergence of technology, AI, and a shifting global landscape.

About last night.

Last night and collaborated to put on a Spotlight On Diamonds event together. I had the pleasure of introducing the speakers including the Executive Team at De Beers and the Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group.

A great evening and informative event attended by many of the West End London Brands, UK chain stores, UK retailers, buying Groups, industry associations, members of the London Diamond Bourse and Hatton Garden community.
