Always a good friend to have, gold has been hitting record highs in value again💰 . Now, in particular, is a good time to make sure your valuations are up to date.

Though its price tag can feel a tad intimidating at times, it's always going to be a reassuringly safe bet and a good investment. It's really hard not to be impressed with mother nature's palette at this time of year, and though your coat selection may suggest otherwise, there is such a warmth in all the reds, yellows and deep purples on show all around 🍂.

I often get asked: what's your favourite jewellery to design? Naturally, I love it all but I am always so happy to receive a request from a woman who wants to treat herself. Honouring and rewarding ourselves is a rare treat when, in my opinion, it really shouldn't be. If you want it, then get it 😉! Now, slip a beautiful bespoke cocktail ring on that hand before giving yourself the necessary pat on the back 😂.

A huge thank you to the Year 3 children and staff at Forty Hill School who gave me such a warm welcome at what was a very fun gemmology session ❤! I adore teaching little ones about gems and their scientific properties, and it really does make for such a great science lesson 💎🔬 .

There is such genuine reciprocity at these talks - seeing gemmology from their perspective and listening to their questions (I had face-ache from smiling so much ☺️), coupled with the opportunity for me to pass on some fun and inspiring knowledge is incredibly satisfying.

I deliver gemmology sessions free of charge to both primary and secondary school children whenever I'm able to and it's such a pleasure. It's a very hands-on, interactive session, covering topics such as: thermal conductivity; transparency to opaqueness; and guess the ruby.

The Ankh Cross is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol representing the concept of life and eternal life. With its teardrop-shaped loop, it's pretty hard not to fall in love with such simplicity. This client wanted this pendant to sit alongside another so specificity was key.

Pretty sure those last beautiful rays of sunshine yesterday were summer's swan song and we must now part ways with our warm, bright and carefree 'seasonal' friend.

🍂🍁 But when one door closes another opens, and that's when we welcome in all the vibrancy and dark beauty that autumn brings. I work with lots of clients who are celebrating an autumnal proposal or, even better, an autumnal wedding (now, who doesn't love those?!) 🍁🍂

Though engagement and wedding rings are innately special and sentimental, the eternity ring can often feel more like the ultimate expression of timeless devotion ❤.

I've created many eternity rings and each is as unique as the client and the relationship they represent. When your jewellery is intrinsically linked with sentiment and memory, a breakage can be, quite simply, heart-breaking 💔.

This client had broken the ring given to her by her late grandmother so it carried a huge amount of value and sentiment. It required a lot of careful craftsmanship to get it back to its original form, but I'm so pleased we were able to restore its beauty and meaning.
