Still trying to get my head around friday night, if I'm honest.

To everyone who took time out of their day to message me, call me, comment on my post/stories or celebrate this moment with me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I know we all have our own lives, busy days and a million things going on, so the fact that you took a moment to think of me and send some love really does mean more than I can put into words.

I've read every single message and none of it has gone unnoticed. I feel incredibly lucky to have so many lovely people in my corner and I hope you know how much I appreciate you.

I went into friday night expecting nothing, came home with two awards and have since been reminded just how much love and support surrounds me. That in itself is something I'll never take for granted.

Sharon, even said to me after the awards that my face was a picture when Roshni announced my name 🤣

A huge congratulations to all the finalists and winners. It was so lovely to see so many incredible women and businesses being recognised for what they do. Every woman in that room has a story, a journey and so much hard work behind what people see on the outside and I hope you're all taking a moment to feel proud of yourselves.

And of course, congratulations to Sharon, Sukhi and the entire Women in Business Midlands team on 5 years of championing, connecting and celebrating women in business. What you've built is something special and I hope you're incredibly proud of how far it's come.

Thank you for bringing us all together and creating a space where women can be seen and supported.

My heart is very full and I really do mean that.

WELL THEN. WHAT THE ACTUAL F*CK JUST HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?! 😭🏆🏆

I genuinely have no words. And for anyone who knows me, you’ll know that’s RARE. 😂

I went into last night expecting a lovely evening, a chance to celebrate some incredible women and probably have a laugh and catch up with people. I absolutely did NOT go in expecting to walk away with TWO awards.

I had nothing prepared at all lol No speech, nothing because I didn't expect it at all. Just me, standing there in complete shock, trying to process what the hell was happening. 😂😭

But now I’ve slept on it.

Firstly, Sharon and Suky, the incredible women behind Women in Business Midlands Awards. Thank you for creating something that celebrates women, their businesses, their journeys and everything that goes on behind the scenes that people don't always see. What you've created is so special, and I'm so grateful to have been part of it.

Roshni, thank you for presenting and for the incredibly kind words you shared about me. You caught me completely off guard, and your words meant more than I could articulate in that moment.

To the judges, thank you for choosing me. To everyone who nominated me, THANK YOU. The fact that people took the time to put my name forward, believe in what I do and think I deserve to be recognised in this way is something I won't take lightly.

And to every single person who has supported me since I started my business in 2015 , whether you've bought from me, recommended me, worked with me, trusted me with your special occasions, followed along, sent a message, referred a client, or simply reminded me to keep going when things got hard, these 11 years would not be what they are without you.

Winning Best Fashion Business of the Year for DDR is incredibly special. 11 yrs of building, changing, pivoting, figuring s**t out as I go and finding my way through all the highs and lows of running a business.

Imagine being in the middle of planning one of the biggest days of your life and feeling like you're a bother to someone you've paid to help you.

This bride wasn't talking about me, but it did make me feel sad for her. Bless her, as she was thanking me for being patient with her, and that means just as much to me as hearing that everyone loved the buttonholes, bouquets and memorial charms.

I will always care about the details, as I'm a perfectionist about those things, and I always will be.

But you're also a person planning a wedding. Sometimes there are a million things going on, emotions are high, and you need someone who will listen, reassure you and help bring your vision to life without making you feel difficult for having one.

And when those details become part of your memories, especially the ones that hold a little piece of the people you love, that's when this work becomes so much more than making wedding accessories.

Kaleeray are a traditional, bridal accessory worn on the wrists by North Indian and Punjabi brides during their wedding ceremonies.

They symbolise blessings, love, and good luck for the brides new chapter, so adding a custom memorial charms of her loved ones makes it even more special.

We made these, to go with the style of the kaleeray. The bride had her grandma with her on one and her grandad with her on the other 🫶🏼

She also wanted to be able to attach them to her bouquet for after the wedding to keep, so we added a coordinated pin so she could do that.

It's such an honour to play the part of making personalised accessories that play such a big part in memories.

True story and Jas knows I've outed her...we're friends now ✌🏽

Honestly, I love my clients, but I did not realise we were creating post wedding buttonhole nostalgia.

And actually, this is exactly why I love what I do.

It’s never just the buttonholes. It’s the little details, the back and forth, the personalisation, seeing the idea come together, opening the box when it arrives, and knowing it’s going to be part of someone’s wedding day.

So… if you’re currently planning yours, just know that apparently there is a possibility you may miss me afterwards. 😂
