It’s been a wet and stormy start to the year in beautiful Mallorca, but looking at the forecast it would seem like the sunshine is on its way ☀️😎

Counting down the days until it’s time for the beach, days on the med and cold sundowners 🏖️⛵️🛥️🥂🍻

We reckon the Luminor Marina timepiece by is the perfect accompaniment for days like these, and even better enjoyed from an antique sailing yacht like the 1936 Eilean that has been beautifully restored for Panerai at the Francesco Del Carlo shipyard in Tuscany.

With our Scottish roots at the Mallorca Watch Club it’s also nice to know that such an important piece of maritime history was originally designed by William Fife, part of the third generation of a Scottish family that designed and built yachts ⛵️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

After an incredible display of resilience American skier sadly crashed out of the womans downhill ski race at the Olympics this morning, just a week after rupturing her ACL, crashing just 13.4 seconds into the downhill race.

We wish Lindsey a speedy recovery and here’s hoping for another return in what has been an incredible career 🎿🚠⛷️

Lindsey was recently spotted wearing the beautiful Everose Daytona ‘Le Mans’ edition, which was released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 24hr Le Mans race, and comes with a price tag of more than €200k !⌚️🏎️🏁

Congratulations to the incredible Carlos Alcaraz who has won a pulsating Australian Open final to become the youngest man to complete a career Grand Slam - ending Novak Djokovic’s latest attempt to land a 25th major title in the process.
The 22-year-old immediately collapsed on the court in celebration after clinching a 2-6 6-2 6-3 7-5 victory in Melbourne.

The Spanish world number one is only the ninth man to win all four Grand Slam tournaments - the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open - and the first since Djokovic in 2016.

Backed by Rolex Carlos adorned the beautiful Rolex Daytona Oysterflex ‘Daytona’ 126515LN to celebrate and lift the coveted trophy 🏆

Congratulations 🇪🇸🎾🙌🏆⌚️

For LVMH Watch Week 2026 in Milan, TAG Heuer introduces the Carrera Seafarer Chronograph, a contemporary re-edition of one of the brand’s earliest sailing watches. The Seafarer name dates back to 1949, when Heuer created the Solunar and Seafarer models for Abercrombie & Fitch. These were among the first mechanical watches to incorporate tidal information, an idea born from Abercrombie president Walter Haynes and refined by a young Jack Heuer.
The 42mm stainless-steel case follows the Carrera’s refined Glassbox architecture, characterised by its domed sapphire crystal and bezel-less design, which maximises legibility. Overall dimensions include a lug-to-lug of 48.6mm and a thickness of 14.4mm. The case alternates between fine-brushed and polished finishes, maintaining the technical look of the Carrera line with an added maritime robustness. At 9 o’clock, a distinct “TIDE” push-button adjusts the rotating tide disc, while standard pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock control the chronograph functions. The case features a screw-down sapphire caseback, engraved with TAG Heuer’s Victory Wreath emblem, and the watch is rated to 100m water resistance.

As far as ‘icons’ go on the island it would be remiss of us not to feature international tennis star Rafael Nadal at some point! 🎾🏆

Rafael exclusively wears ultra-lightweight, high-shock-resistance Richard Mille tourbillon watches on and off the court, with the partnership beginning in 2010.

Recent models include the RM 27-05 (2024), RM 27-04 ($1M+, tennis net-inspired), RM 27-03, and RM 35-03. These watches are designed to handle over 12,000–14,000 g’s of force, making them durable enough for his matches 🤯

Key Models in the Richard Mille x Rafael Nadal collection includes:

RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon (2024): Weighs 11.5 grams, withstands 14,000 g’s.
RM 27-04 (2020): Features a case designed like a tennis racket, 30 grams, and 12,000 g’s resistance.
RM 27-03 (2017): Features a red/yellow quartz case and 10,000 g’s resistance.
RM 35-03 (Automatic): Known for its “butterfly rotor”.

These timepieces are known for being extremely light (often including the strap), allowing Nadal to play without noticing them, acting as a “second skin”.

As the longest-running collection from Omega, the Seamaster has all the credentials to be called emblematic. While the model debuted in 1948, it’s mostly the launch in 1957 of the Seamaster 300 that gave the collection its true diving edge. This year the collection celebrates its 20th anniversary with the release of the fourth generation models. The new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean isn’t a soft mid-life facelift, but a rather drastic change of design. Angular case, no more HEV (Helium Escape Valve), no-date display, and with a new bracelet to boot the 4th Gen is definitely re-writing the history books on this iconic collection.

Personally we love it and it’s going to be on the list to add to our collection!

At MWC we love luxury watches, but we also love innovation. As a group who loves nothing more than a day out on the waves, or high up in the mountains this new brand really caught our eye.

Designed and launched by an Ex-Mountain Rescue team member, the ONTIC range puts practicality and durability at the heart of its design, the founder learned the hard way that when the rain is sideways and the light is fading, your kit cannot be decorative….It has to work!

The MR1 is built the same way, with a 40mm TiX hardened titanium, Solar powered Swiss movement, high contrast dial and 300 metre water resistance everything on it earns its place.
Although designed for the mountains we think that this would be equally at home on the sea, this really is a workhorse for the wrist in any condition 💪

The Dakar Rally has a way of exposing weak links, mechanical or human, and that’s largely why it makes sense for Bell & Ross to be involved. Timing in rallies is functional, constant, and unforgiving. For drivers in the Defender Dakar D7X-R, knowing exactly where they stand at any given moment can shape decisions hours down the road. Bell & Ross has spent decades building its reputation around legibility and reliability in extreme conditions, first in aviation and later underwater, and now on track. Dakar is another chapter in that story rather than a departure from it.

The watch heading into the dunes with Defender Rally is the BR-X3 Black Titanium, a creation that leans heavily into its role as an instrument tool rather than a mere accessory. Lightweight grade 2 titanium, a COSC-certified movement, and a dial designed for easy readability all point toward usability over luxury. Visually, the watch’s square case and round dial echo the Defender’s own design language, clean, purposeful, and engineered with intent. In a race defined by long days, physical strain, and mechanical stress, the partnership is more about showing up with the right tools and letting the terrain speak for itself.

Best of luck to all the competitors taking part in this years Dakar rally, and great to see getting on board with such a gruelling event ⌚️⏱️🏝️🏁
