Life has been very full on over the last 2–3 months and if I’m honest, my concentration, creativity and mojo have taken a real hit. Some days it’s felt impossible to focus on anything beyond appointments, phone calls and just getting through the day.

But today, for the first time in nearly 7 weeks, I actually want to make jewellery again. No pressure, no expectations — just spending a little time in my happy place and seeing what happens.

There’s still a long road ahead and lots going on behind the scenes, but today feels like a tiny piece of me returning and I’m really grateful for that ❤️

I’ve had quite a few people ask about gemstone bracelets recently, so I wanted to explain why I don’t currently offer them.

My pieces are made using real gemstones and sterling silver, which puts bracelets in the £25–£35 range. While they’re beautiful, they’re typically strung on elastic — and elastic, by its nature, has a lifespan. With regular wear, it can weaken and eventually snap, often without much warning.

That means there’s a real risk of losing the gemstones and silver, and I just don’t feel comfortable selling something at that price point that may only last 1–2 years.

For me, it’s really important that what I create feels like a worthwhile, lasting investment for you. So for now, I’m focusing on pieces with more longevity 💛

Thank you so much for understanding and for continuing to support my work — it genuinely means the world.

I continue to wait for tests for my health issues but the good news is my husband is healing well from his surgery. I’m still not really able to be in my studio for long periods but I have managed to try my hand at wax carving. I have really enjoyed doing this. Think I might make some more.

One of the reasons I make jewellery is to help my mental health. This probably above and beyond selling my makes, although that helps me to fund my silver habit lol. I’ve had a heck of 6 years. COVID first. I was one of many on the front line -wasn’t a good time. Then my dad got ill with aplastic anaemia. Touch and go - a lot. Got him stable. Then my brother in law was diagnosed with a grade 4 astrocytoma and had much of his frontal lobe removed. Now my husband is unwell and although the prognosis is good we have a bumpy ride ahead of us. As if that’s not enough I appear to have decided apparently that I want some attention and am now having some investigations for some health issues. WTAF 😳 I haven’t managed to make anything for a few weeks due to various things and just a lack of mojo but today I managed to get a couple of hours in my studio. I made a ring. Needs polishing again - bloody fire stain 😂 but it felt good to be able to manage to focus for a couple of hours. Day by day ❤️
