I’ve been a little quiet on here while life has been racing ahead. Evan starting school and me starting back at work simultaneously has made the days feel very full, very fast.

The picture of my gorgeous boy kissing me on the cheek captures the pause I needed from everything - a small moment of softness in the middle of all the change. 🥰

I’m finding my feet again, getting back into Creatureworks, and easing myself into a new routine. ✨

It’s good to be back. 👍

Hiya everyone 👋

I’m back after a much‑needed family holiday in Greece (Evan’s first time abroad) and a really refreshing break.

Some time away from my desk has given me a clearer, more focused mindset, and with Evan starting school next week, I’m settling into a new routine and getting back to work properly.

Can’t wait for some normality to resume!

I’ve just finished a new custom spider pendant, designed entirely to a customer’s monochrome brief. She blends hematite, snowflake obsidian, crystal, and glass beads, suspended from a stainless steel bail and black cord to keep everything sleek and cohesive.

One of my favourite things about spider jewellery is how adaptable it is — I can create pieces that sit flush on the skin for a classic pendant look, or bend them to create a 3D effect so the spider has more lifelike presence and personality.

This one has a lovely contrast between the matte stones and the crystal shine and how stunning does she look in the light! ✨

Some words just hit home, and this post really resonated with me…

I disappear sometimes, but always for good reason — to reset, to breathe, to rebuild. And every time I come back, I come back stronger, clearer, and more passionate.

Being an artist isn’t about constant output, perfect timing, or living online. It’s something you are, not something you have to prove…

Even in quiet times, even when life gets busy, even when you step away… you’re still an artist… it’s in your blood!

And I’m finding my way back to creating again — slowly, steadily, and with more purpose than ever.

Well, I’ve been breaking in both pairs of my new glasses this weekend (turns out my vision is not as good as I thought!)

I have actually always wanted to wear glasses full time and now I do… and I’m not sure how I feel about it. Haha! Typical brit, never happy lol! 🤣

Speaking of, I’m trying to decide if I can actually stay up to watch the England game at 01:00! This would not have been in question in my younger days! 😆🥱😴💤

Calling my fellow crafters, especially those of you who regularly work with adhesives in your crafting…

This post is for you! 💜

What adhesive do you trust most when you need to securely attach one small component to another, like a decorative piece onto a bead?

I’m exploring a few options, as I bought these stunning resin wings in a couple of different colours… but they are not beads, so would need to affix to a bead underneath to support the structure of the butterfly.

I’ve heard 3:1 epoxy resin would be a good shout, but I know nothing about resin, however, I’m not against the idea of using it instead of a glue, if it’ll hold stronger.

Whether it’s a favourite glue type, a specific brand you swear by, or a technique that gives a stronger hold, I’m all ears.

I mocked this up tonight using my usual B7000 glue but it won’t harden enough.
