Over time, jewellery are visual reminders of a moment in time or a feeling.
Often because they hold significant meaning of when it came into your life.
Weather that was an engagement, birthday, valentines, a general gift from a loved one, or typical time or place you purchased it in your life.💞

I know my personal jewellery remind me of my partner or places we have traveled too
When I look at them they always bring me back to beautiful times and memories☺️

Although I do have a sad story which is loosing a sentimental ring with my mums ashes in, which still makes me so angry with myself!
I still seem to have a small hope that it may turn up someday❤️‍🩹

There’s something very spring-like in the air today and I’m all for it ☀️

I really love working with gemstones, their beauty is just something else, their instinctive attraction, sparkle, and variety of different pretty colours.

💜The calmness of purple and the elegance of sterling silver go perfect together.
This versatile stone is beloved by many for its gorgeous hues, which range from light to deep purple; the perfect colour for the most romantic day of the year and of course the birthstone of February.
Thanks to its gorgeous colour, it has been a favourite of royalty throughout the ages.
Fine examples of amethyst are found among Britain’s crown jewels, and it’s treasured by many famous figures!

💘 According to roman legend, Saint Valentine himself wore a purple amethyst ring with an engraving of cupid on it. As the holy man travelled around the roman empire, people would recognise the image on his ring and ask him to perform marriages. Today we still celebrate St. Valentine’s Day on 14th February – and the amethyst remains the symbolic gemstone of love.

People often think of garnets as red gemstones. In reality, garnets come in a few colours! Red, Pink, Orange, Green & Brown.
It can easily be confused with the super expensive ruby, or pink tourmaline.

Beautiful rhodolite garnet has a unique beauty that draws instant attraction.
It’s usually a raspberry magenta pinkish-red. It’s a combination of Almandine and Pyrope in composition.

The name rhodolite is derived from the greek word rhodon, which means “rose-like”, and this refers to rhodolite’s pinkish hues. It was said to be named after the pink rhododendron flower that is native to North Carolina, where it was first discovered.🌺

Rhodolite is a warm, sincere, loving, and trusting stone. It’s a powerful energizer that can increase your energy levels wherever you place it. It hold qualities of love and compassion and commitment.

Gorgeous AAA london blue topaz faceted teardrop which is hand wrapped and paired with an initial charm - 925 sterling silver

I just love london blue topaz and it’s deep mysterious blue colour, almost like the bottom of the ocean 🌊

London is home to the united kingdom’s natural history museum, which houses a famous gallery of minerals. One of the displays includes the ostro stone, which is a flawless blue topaz discovered by a British explorer (max ostro) in brazil several decades ago, in 1960. It’s the largest cut topaz that has ever been displayed, measuring in at 15cm long and 10.5cm in width and weighing an impressive 9,381 carats.
Many gemstone enthusiasts believe that the history of the term ‘london blue topaz’ originates from a combination of all of these factors.

Garnet is a gemstone steeped in royal lore. Archeologists have often discovered garnet amulets placed around the necks of pharaohs in old egyptian tombs. Ancient roman leaders wore magnificent garnets signet rings – they used them for stamping the wax seals on important documents and letters.
In China, a garnet was believed to represent a tiger’s soul, transformed into a precious red gem after the noble animal’s death.

Its name comes from the Latin “granatus”meaning “seeds” possibly because a cluster of garnet crystals resembles the red seeds inside a pomegranate.

❊🌛❄️ Winter Solstice ❄️🌜❊

Happy Winter solstice my lovelies!

Tuesday 21st December is when we will experience a measly seven hours and 49 minutes of daylight, with the sun due to rise at 8.03am and set at 3.53pm.
The solstice marks the official beginning of winter in the northern hemisphere, occurring when earth arrives at the point in its orbit where the north pole is at its maximum tilt away from the sun, resulting in the shortest day and longest night of the calendar year. The Summer solstice is the opposite!

This means the days will gradually be getting lighter from here on, each day being longer than the one before, meaning we’ll be clinking glasses in 9pm sunshine before we know it. 🥂

For millennia, communities have marked the significance of this day with rituals and traditions to express gratitude for the past year and set our intentions for the year ahead.

The term 'solstice' derives from the Latin word 'solstitium', meaning 'sun standing still'

☀️ Many cultures and traditions around the world have honoured the Winter Solstice, marking the symbolic death and rebirth of the sun. A day of hope and joy, the day the sun would begin to return.

To our ancestors, this rebirth of the sun signalled the beginning of Yule, cause for great celebration and feasting.🍴
