🪞 Toughened mirror… are you comparing like for like?

A cheaper quote can be tempting, but it’s worth asking how the mirror is made.

Genuine silvered toughened mirror has a chemically deposited reflective layer with protective backing. Spray-backed mirror-effect glass uses a specialist reflective paint applied to toughened glass. Both can use toughened glass, but the mirror finish is made differently ✨

Cheaper mirror-effect finishes can vary in clarity and quality, so ask to see a sample—and check the coating’s suitability and guarantee, especially for a kitchen splashback.

One of our beautiful antique silver mirror splashbacks installed in an Lou @ idesign interiors kitchen ✨
