I’ve settled on “Lost Cove” as a name for this sea themed collection, which has taken me the best part of five months to realise 😅 If you know me at all, you might have an inkling that I’m a bit of a perfectionist, and that colour is my obsession. This collection started with a fascination of the colour and texture of patina - specifically verdigris - and my attempts to recreate it with watercolour, and then acrylic paint. If you have watched any of my stories this year, you may have seen some of that journey.
As I played with paint more and more, the familiar urge to put that paint on a canvas arose, and given that my resolution this year was to allow myself the freedom to go where the creativity takes me, this is the first collection of jewellery that has a co-collection of paintings alongside it. The mix of pigments I spent so long refining can be found in both my earrings and artwork!
This collection also features my first two clasped bracelets - a wrap bracelet that can also be worn as a necklace, and another entirely made of gemstone and rose gold vermeil beads - my most extravagant bracelet yet. I’ve been wearing both for a few weeks now to test the ease of putting on / taking off (something that put me off using clasps for years!) and I can safely say, I’ve had no trouble with them.
Lost Cove will launch online on the 26th of May - my mum’s birthday. I think she’d be proud.
