Yep...we have been very busy over the last couple of months (normal work, new jobs and a few projects) so what woodworking have we been up to...?
Well let's see, we made a Mud kitchen (fully varnished) this is 130cm wide, 100cm tall and a depth of 60cm. (£200 not varnished or £240 varnished)
We had a few cats, all different. From £50
A couple of extra large bird boxes £30
And lastly we made a log store a few years ago and we're asked if we could modify it to have a door as the new logs are different sizes and were falling out.
That's all folks.....hope you are enjoying the weather

As you can see I had some help today, we started this hobby to help out children, let them learn and it is always lovely to be asked if I would like help, the answer is always a YES ....(Please)
So Fern and I built a bird table today and I also had earlier made a to order ladder plant shelf, 2m tall, approx 65cm wide, fully varnished. We also have an add on to a log shed we made a few years ago, which is always nice to repeat people (the ladder is too)

We had a bit of spare time this week and was asked if we had ever made a wishing well type planter, well we have now, they wanted a heavy sturdy one (not like on some websites) and fully varnished, lined and ready built. Made mainly from 3x2 timber, it is 103cm tall, and roughly 50cm wide and high on the planter.
If anyone else likes it, they are £150 and happy to deliver around Tilehurst and Reading.

It has been a while as a new job makes the playtime harder to fit in... But we have a cat bed shelf with steps made to order, just needs the bed and cat to finish it off, made from Plywood and will be painted later to fit the room colour.
Fits a 41cm round cat bed

Hi all , happy new year, hope you all had a wonderful holiday time.
So has anyone made a new year's resolution ? 2 years ago we had a few drinks with friends and before we knew it we had signed up for our first Reading Half marathon, we have never run before this for many many many years, but decided to go for it, we are now on our 3rd Reading Half (injuries allowing) and I even entered the ballot for the London marathon but did not manage it, our friend who made us start running has got in, she is running for a charity, NSPCC. We are running the Half together as training for the big one, I have attached her sponsorship link if anyone would like to support her and a charity, also if you have a business and want to give to, maybe covers tax relief too. I am sure any amount would be gratefully received.
You will see us all walking and running around Tilehurst no doubt, many thanks for reading and a few more thanks if you sponser her.

Thank you for your support with my 2025 London Marathon challenge! NSPCC is a charity which is very close to my heart and worth every vital penny raised. For those of you that dont know - NSPCC also f

Something different from us, a friend saw something like this online and joked if we could make any.... well since the Railway is my normal job, I thought why not try, so what do you think...? Not sure where to put them if honest, indoors or outdoors ? (To line them or not to line the inside of the train)
The paint job took absolute ages, way longer then expected. You can see them at the Christmas Fayre on the 17th November, (see a previous post)
The Loco (63cm) is £50, and each coach (57cm) is £40,
