✨ Ending the week with a smile ✨

One of the most rewarding parts of running JBG-Jewellery is hearing that a piece I've made has brought joy to someone else's life.

I received this lovely review for a recycled sterling silver wedding band that I recently made, and it has absolutely made my week.

As a small business owner and maker, every commission is personal. From the first conversation through to the finished piece, I put so much care into creating jewellery that will be worn and treasured for years to come.

Knowing that this wedding band is exactly what my customer hoped for means more than I can say.

✨ A Little Introduction (or Reintroduction!) ✨

Hello and welcome to everyone who has joined my page recently. I thought it might be time to introduce myself again.

I’m Jo, the designer, maker, photographer, packer, social media manager and chief tea drinker behind JBG-Jewellery. 😊

From my small studio in West Berkshire, I design and handcraft sterling silver jewellery inspired by nature, memories, stories and the beauty of everyday life.

Before becoming a silversmith, I spent many years working as a scientist in the pharmaceutical industry. Surprisingly, there are quite a few similarities between science and jewellery making - precision, patience, problem-solving and occasionally wondering why something hasn’t worked quite as planned!

Sustainability is at the heart of what I do. I work predominantly with recycled sterling silver, incorporate sea glass and repurposed materials where possible, and create jewellery designed to be treasured for years to come.

One of my favourite parts of this journey is creating bespoke commissions. Whether it’s transforming a special piece into something new, celebrating a milestone, or capturing a meaningful memory in silver, I love helping customers bring their ideas to life.

You’ll also often find me at local artisan markets and village fairs across Berkshire and Oxfordshire. If you’ve met me at an event, I’d love you to say hello in the comments and let me know where we met.

June has started with a busy workbench and I'm not complaining! 💚

I've been spending a lot of time in my workshop recently creating bespoke commissions, turning ideas and stories into pieces that will be treasured for years to come.

One of the things I love most about making jewellery is that every commission is unique. Whether it's a special gift, a meaningful keepsake, or a piece inspired by a personal memory, it's always a privilege to create something so personal.

Alongside my commission work, I'm also busy preparing new jewellery for my next event at Sonning Common Village Day on Sunday 28th June.

There are lots of exciting things taking shape on my bench at the moment and I can't wait to share more with you soon.

Some pieces are extra special because of the person they're made for 🎶

I recently made this sterling silver bracelet as a birthday gift for a lovely young lady who has a real passion for music.

Each music-themed charm was handmade by me in recycled sterling silver, making the bracelet completely unique to her. The beautiful saxophone charm was the perfect finishing touch and was sourced from Perfectcharm 🎷

One of the things I love most about jewellery making is creating pieces that celebrate the things people love - whether that's music, nature, a favourite hobby, or a special memory.

A piece of jewellery can tell a story in a way that few gifts can.
This bracelet was a joy to make, and even more special to give. ❤️
