One of our members, Michael Chambers, is looking to sell his Tiger Cub. It's a restored Bantam Cub in silver and black with a rebuilt engine, new bearings front and back. lford TOMCC members gave a special send-off to one of our longest serving members, Dave Edwards. Dave was a keen motorcyclist and had a number of Triumphs, and sadly passed way at the age of 81. Ilford TOMCC provided an es**rt for the cortege to Dave's house, and then onto the cemetery at Parndon Wood. I know from speaking to them that Dave's family were touched as to how many members, both past and present, turned up. It was quite an impressive sight to see so many bikes following and the members did a sterling job of safely stopping traffic allow us all to keep together (special thanks to Dave Bussell for herding us all along). Dave's widow, Hazel, gave an account of his life, and his children and siblings also gave readings. I only knew Dave for a few years, but I am honoured to have known him, as I know all our members were. RIP Dave - we'll miss the Wagon Wheels and Kit-Kats and your depth of knowledge about all things motorbike. Words by Branch Secretary Aidan Sayers

DAVE EDWARDS' FUNERAL

The following message is from Aidan Sayers:

Dear all - Dave Edward's funeral will be the 17th February 1.30pm at Parndon Wood Cemetary:

Parndon Wood Cemetery & Crematorium, Essex

Hazel has asked that we go on our bikes if possible and Dave will have a motorbike hearse (a bonneville!). In this case, we will meet up at the funeral directors and follow the hearse to meet Hazel, then on to the cemetery.

There will be a wake afterwards.

Hazel has asked that I confirm numbers with her tomorrow. If you are going to come, please can you let me know by cementing on this post : If

a) you are coming by bike
b) if you will be attending the wake.

RIP DAVE EDWARDS

The Branch have received the sad news today that Dave Edwards has passed away. Dave is best remembered for being a champion for the Branch and always supported us at the Enfield Pageant by serving up Food and Beverages for the branch members (and anybody else who happened to wander into the tent) and at Branch nights many of us would have eaten one of Daves biscuits or wagon wheels that he had brought with him. The Branch wish to extend their sincere condolences to Daves family.
