It’s been a long time so I thought I’d reintroduce myself to everyone here..
I’m Tasha, the face (and hands) behind the jewels and the tiny treasures. I make everything you see here on this page, and I do it from my little studio in here in Somerset.
I’ve made things with my hands since I was a little kid, and with a *light* obsession with tiny detail, I fell into making jewellery. The slow, detailed nature of this craft keeps me occupied, and constantly learning.
I come from a family of makers, who taught me to let myself get lost in a process. My granny was an artist who had me into Picasso at 5 and my sister and I always with her in her ‘making room’ collaborating on artworks every time we got to see her. I use some of her old tools for jewellery now 😊
Over many years of patterns falling onto paper, I now love translating that into little artworks in silver and gold. When I’m not making in metal, i’m playing with clay, paint and still filling books with tiny drawings from nature.
I wanted to challenge myself with my craft this year, and since re-opening the shop I’ve been lucky enough to start learning engraving, more stone setting, and testing my skills in gold. It has lit a fire in me all over again! I am massively grateful to anyone who chooses to support my work, the feeling I get seeing people find value in my pieces, as little capsules of love, loss and important life moments is still as fuzzy and full of joy as the first piece I ever sold.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here, and helping make it possible for me to keep creating precious things. That’s all I could really wish for.
Love, Tasha X
