The 2026 pumpkin patch is growing nicely...I think I might need to gift these as I already have a house groaning with crochet pumpkins 🎃

Pumpkin pattern:
Chain 17,
HDC in the 2nd chain from hook and in each chain to the end, turn
*Chain 2, HDC in the back loop of each stitch, turn*
Repeat from ** until your crochet rectangle measures approximately twice the width.
Join the short edges with slip stitches and weave around the end of the cylinder and pull to cinch tight.
Stuff with filling.
Weave the top edge and pull tight to cinch in.
Using the same yarn, use a darning needle to sew through the centre of the pumpkin and create 6 segments sewing around the pumpkin and pulling tight.
(Chain more or less as the starting chain to make a smaller or larger pumpkin)
Stalk pattern:
Magic ring, 6 DC into the ring
DC around for 2 or 3 rounds (I like to vary this so the stalks are all slightly different)
Using a darning needle, sew the stalk to the top of the pumpkin.
