I haven’t posted for a while as ‘pushing my wares’ on social media is not my favourite thing to do, but here is a recent commission for a man’s birthday which incorporates all of the initials which are important in his life on a black rubber-tube style necklace. This one is made in aluminium which looks and behaves very similarly to silver and is hard-wearing too. It can also be made in sterling silver.

End of ‘ware-pushing’. 😃 Hope you like it.

One of the best things about searching for sea glass (apart from time spent at the beach and making the jewellery of course) is wondering about the history of a piece.

Where has it travelled? Where was it made? Who used it? What was it a vessel for? Who made it? How long has it been on its journey? What has it ‘experienced’?

My guess is that this one was made in Middlesbrough (as I found it not too far away at Saltburn). I have no idea of the answers to my other questions and that is the magic behind every treasure.

Thoughts? Maybe you know more. I’d love to know.

So many shades of green on one beach. 💚
Historically green glass was used for decorative items (not beer bottles) and the green came from iron impurities in the sand in production.
See, the educator in me is always trying to get out! 😁

DID YOU KNOW? Whilst I make recycled sterling silver jewellery, I also work with silver plated, copper and aluminium which can make pieces more affordable.

These earrings are still handmade with silver plated with glass, crystals, semi precious and ceramic beads.
I have so many colours and sizes and types of bead so if there is something you have in mind, drop me a message and I can create them for you. £8 a pair.
I could even add a special message on the card and every item is gift wrapped ready to give.
Matching pieces such as bracelets are also available.

🪶 * NEW DESIGN* 🪶

Feathers are believed my many to symbolise truth, protection and spiritual connection.

I’d like show you my new feather cut-out design in recycled sterling silver. It is bezel-set around a beautiful piece of seafoam sea glass and the pendant is hung from an 18 inch diamond cut curb chain. One side of the pendant shows the seaglass and the other is the feather, highlighted by the colour of the seaglass behind it, so that you can wear it either way around.

This is the only one available at the moment but commissions are being taken. Each piece is unique so you can choose your colour of sea glass and chain. Commissions generally take approximately a week. Get in touch if you’d like to order or just for more details.
