Another custom build completed for a customer 🔥

This one was put together after the customer had seen a similar build on another website, but we were able to supply it cheaper — without cutting corners on quality.
A lovely clean Seiko-style custom build with that stunning Tiffany blue dial, polished case, exhibition case back and an automatic Seiko Time Corp movement inside.
As always, we used quality parts and made sure everything was properly assembled, checked and finished before it left us.
Custom builds don’t always have to cost the earth. If you’ve seen a watch you like, send us a picture and we’ll see what we can put together for you.

✅ Custom builds
✅ Quality parts
✅ Automatic movements
✅ Cheaper than many online sellers
✅ Built and checked properly before dispatch

Another one saved and back on the wrist 👌
A good customer picked up this Seiko Titanium Chronograph knowing it was a non-runner and that the clasp was missing a section, but with the hope that we could probably bring it back to life.
Luckily, the watch itself only needed a fresh battery — Renata, always — and a little clean and polish to bring it back up nicely.
The bracelet was the bigger challenge. We managed to source a new old stock clasp, but because the main clasp on this model is titanium, we didn’t want to spoil the look of the watch on the wrist. So instead, we carefully used the inner links/parts needed from the replacement clasp and kept the original outer clasp section in place.
The result is a tidy, wearable Seiko again, keeping the correct titanium look while making the bracelet fully functional.
Sometimes it’s not about replacing everything — it’s about repairing it properly and keeping the watch looking right.
So, if you ever see a watch you like going cheap because it’s not working, missing a bracelet part, needs a battery, or just looks a bit tired, it might be worth taking a chance on it. You never know — it could be a simple fix, and we’re always happy to take a look and see whether it can be saved.

A lovely little restoration completed on this vintage Seiko 5 Sports.

This one belongs to an elderly gentleman who has owned the watch from brand new and was kindly recommended to me by one of my regular customers. He doesn’t use the internet and even paid by cheque — something you don’t see very often these days!
The original crystal was heavily scratched to the point you could barely see the dial underneath, and the crown was also missing. After some searching, I managed to source genuine replacement parts from America to keep the watch as original as possible.
The difference is night and day. The dial is now crystal clear again, the watch is fully usable, and most importantly it keeps another sentimental piece ticking for many more years to come.
These are the kinds of jobs I really enjoy — not just fixing a watch, but preserving the memories attached to it.

Another interesting one on the bench this week.

This IWC Portofino-style clone came in with intermittent stopping issues that didn’t immediately point to the usual suspects. After stripping the movement down and inspecting the gear train under magnification, I found the culprit… a tiny shard of metal floating around inside the movement.
The fragment was absolutely tiny — shown next to a 3mm drill bit for scale — but even something this small can completely mess up a movement. It was catching in the gear train at random and causing the watch to stop intermittently.
Faults like this can be a real pain to diagnose because the watch may run perfectly for hours, then suddenly stop for no obvious reason.
The movement was stripped, cleaned, inspected for further damage, reassembled and tested. Happy to say it’s now running smoothly again.
Sometimes it’s the smallest bits causing the biggest headaches. 🔍⌚

Another happy customer review 👌

Unfortunately this one didn’t make it onto the official review page, so I wanted to share it here instead:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“I recently had my watch repaired by WATCHMOD Creations.

The watch had movement issues and it was suggested that a complete movement replacement was needed.

WATCHMOD Creations provided a clear and fair quote within a few days. I was kept informed throughout the repair process, and the watch was returned to me within the estimated timeframe.

Since the repair, the watch has been keeping near-perfect time and looks fantastic.

The watch also went through scratch reduction and polishing.

Highly recommended, great service with the customer at the forefront.”

Feedback like this genuinely means a lot for a small independent business, so thank you for the support and trust 🙏

Another replica in for repair after developing an intermittent stopping issue. These faults can be frustrating as the watch may run perfectly on the bench, then randomly stop once worn or moved around.
After diagnosis, the most cost-effective option was a full movement replacement rather than spending hours chasing worn or unreliable internal parts. A fresh movement fitted, hands transferred across, and everything tested and running smoothly again.
Sometimes replacing the movement simply makes more sense financially on these reps, giving the customer a far more reliable watch for less money than a full strip-down and repair attempt.

Another one through the workshop doors, this time with the crown and tube completely missing.

Without the tube in place the case was left open to dirt, dust and moisture, so this one needed sorting before any further damage could happen. A replacement tube and crown were sourced and carefully fitted, bringing the watch back to full working order and restoring the clean original look.
These small parts are easy to overlook, but once a crown comes loose or falls off it can quickly lead to much bigger problems inside the movement if left too long.

Now back together, secure on the wrist and ready for daily wear again 👌

This one was more than just a battery change.
The owner brought in this Tissot Seastar that had seen plenty of wear over the years, with the clasp and bracelet heavily scratched from daily use. What makes this watch special though is the story behind it — it was bought for his 18th birthday by his parents on their last family holiday together, so getting it looking right again meant a lot.

The watch received:
✔ New battery fitted
✔ Full reseal to help maintain water resistance
✔ Bracelet and clasp refinished and polished to remove years of marks and scratches

Always satisfying bringing a sentimental piece back to life while keeping the character and memories that come with it.

This Monaco-style chronograph had a rough encounter recently… 🔧⌚

The owner’s young daughter decided to throw it across the room, and unfortunately the movement took the full force of the impact.
While the exterior survived surprisingly well, the quartz chronograph movement inside wasn’t so lucky. Heavy shocks like this can easily damage the internal components, particularly around the chronograph mechanism and hand alignment.
After inspection, the best solution was a complete movement replacement. A brand new movement was installed, the hands were reset and aligned correctly, and all chronograph functions were fully tested to make sure everything was operating exactly as it should.
Thankfully the case, dial and crystal escaped with only minor marks, so this piece is now back up and running and ready to be worn again 👌
A good reminder that watches and unexpected flying lessons don’t usually mix 😅
Free inspection and quote available as always — only return postage to pay if no repair is carried out.
