When L came to me to create an emerald engagement ring for his other half, I began with the stone. As a gemologist, I carefully pre-selected the finest options for the colour, lustre and quality - so he could choose with confidence and follow his heart.

Once we found her emerald, we designed the ring around it, bringing out the green that made it so irresistible.

From choosing the gemstone to refining the design and approving the final details, every bespoke commission is a conversation. You are involved at every step, my role is to guide you and bring it all together.

Crated in our Hong Kong atelier, especially for C. His love, captured in something she will cherish and wear daily.

I do take on time-sensitive commissions when the schedule allows. Diamond sourcing, CAD, casting, setting and finishing can all move remarkably quickly when they need to.

Auspicious, but make it fun.

This ring started with a beautiful Type A Fei Cui Jade and a solid block of clear Lucite, which I carved entirely by hand around the stone.

Hidden beneath the jade is polished platinum, reflecting light back through for that beautiful glow.

I hand carved this first Yu Yi ring especially for the Help for Children gala in Hong Kong, where we helped raise funds for local children’s charities.

Part fine jewellery, part sculpture, part lucky charm.

Honoured to be able to support some wonderful local Hong Kong children’s charities that prevent and treat child abuse through various grants and programs, including legal help for families in need.

A story told yesterday, that touched everyone’s hearts, is a terminally ill mother in a hospital getting legal assistance in sorting passports, paperwork and documentation for her small child who otherwise has no family in Hong Kong and would go into the system without lawyers working tirelessly during evenings and weekends in helping her bring overseas family members to care for the child before she passes.

Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to deal with such issues when hard times hit, and Help for Children bridges the gap of enabling children to continue their journey safely in many difficult situations.

We proudly donated 3 pieces to HfC including our hand carved ring made for the event, and we raised a great amount to help the charity continue helping children and families in times of need.
