Giordano Torresi, “Il Centimetro” Co-founder, building on a strong foundation of family know-how, worked to merge handcrafted traditions with technological innovations, with a strong focus on moving forward and constantly improving the products on offer. His study of new products and production methods is almost obsessive, registering various patents such as those covering particular structures for high-heeled shoes or new methods of applying soles to women’s shoes, to improve their quality and the organisation of the production chain. Through his research he manages to give birth and shape even to the most challenging ideas that the stylists present to him. Fashion industry is always looking for details and originality, two musts in the creation of “Il Centimetro”. The idea was born as a joke from Giordano Torresi desire to realize an icon within the fashion industry, keeping craftsmanship as a main constant. “Being made of top quality leathers, handmade products, each bracelet is different from the others, it is a unique piece”. This is how the measuring tape bracelet was born, not just a simple bracelet, but a collection of memories and emotions to keep around your wrist. The brand represents a response to the most demanding expectations of a fascinating as well as selective industry, counting on a genuine and entirely handicraft manufacture. The materials we use, together with our production processes, are completely Made in Italy, thus allowing us to create qualitatively impeccable products. Starting from a single, real leather bracelet, “Il Centimetro” has turned into a collection of almost 200 different items, with almost countless lines and materials ranging from leather, denim, cotton, metal and much more. As tailors, we imagine the shape and transform the gesture into design.
