First time wearing sling-back flats to work on a smart casual Friday it feels absolutely like a Friday! 🤣 I couldn’t resist these flats from while I travelled through Lisbon in September as they were too comfortable and nerdy cute which I find quite sexy! 😍

Picking the right pair of shoes is beyond essentially critical. Walking in these 100cm heels for 14 hrs a day for two consecutive days and not having to be sent to an emergency room is almost like finding a neon electrifying 3 carat Brazilian Paraiba at haircut price! 😅 I have been the biggest fan of since forever because most of their collection offer style and comfort altogether. I hardly ever get disappointed!

一直好想講呢個話題，其實出席唔同嘅社交場合時真係要留意一啲文化同禮儀上嘅避忌。其實文中講到呢個情況我喺香港出席婚禮都有時會見到，除咗白色其實紅色都係一個一定要避免嘅顏色，無論婚禮採取中式或西式慶典。大前提係唔可以喧賓奪主搶咗主人家風頭。 唔同國家嘅婚禮都有一啲特別嘅傳統，但整體來說黑色衣服亦唔係appropriate ，因為某一啲國家出席葬禮才會穿黑色。所以為咗安全起見，一定要睇清楚請帖上面 dress code requirement，顏色方面一般 pastel 會最大路，影出嚟嘅相都會好喜慶好柔和！有時當我考慮某一啲服飾是否適合嘅時候，我就會幻想同主人家影嗰幅大合照，影出嚟嘅效果會否 harmonious 定違和。如果都真係唔肯定咁我建議 better over dressed than under! 顏色以外我建議盡量避免穿得太過艷麗、性感、或者標奇立異，因為婚禮始終都是神聖和聖潔的，應以優雅端莊簡潔為首。

另外一點我留意到，其實喺香港有好多人會着得過分 casual 出席別人婚禮或慶典。除非主人家特別講咗可以着 casual，否則 business casual or cocktail會係 safe bet。我唔係太接受到賓客着牛仔褲、T恤或波鞋（我知我咁講可能會得罪好多人），就算嗰日係假期或者你自己放假，就算你嗰對係萬五蚊嘅名牌波鞋，因為出席場合係要尊重個 host 或 occasion 嘅本質(所以成日話 dress ‘for’ the occasion)，如果出席得就有責任要成為一位得體同受歡迎嘅 guest。主人家着 tux and gown 想係想記錄低一生人一次的美好時光，但試諗諗身邊嘅賓客全部着到好似啱啱去完 picnic 或行街飲茶，其實都幾掃興！不過當然有時主人家就算唔開心都唔會講出口，但心裏可能會噏住唔舒服，或者心入邊會覺得你唔識做。

所以文中新娘有這樣激進嘅回應，其實我都理解，因為尤其係傳統西方文化上，呢位媽媽嘅朋友真係中晒啲 big no no ❌❌

Tonight I attended one of the most heartwarming family friends’ dinner gatherings in this vintage inspired silk cocktail dress by HELLESSY which I bought a few years back. It’s highly wearable, slightly edgy, and comfortable! The embroidered silk fabric is mesmerising. 💕

Ok I have been receiving complaints I have not been updating my ig frequently enough so here we are… 😅 A few friends asked me about this outfit, if I remember correctly I got it from a few years back in Paris. Paule Ka is a tricky brand, sometimes I find it a bit too conservative but its cutting and silhouette actually gives Asian body frame quite a nice fit. If you’re looking for a timeless classy subtle outfit give this brand a try. You’ll have decent surprises.

Thinking by staying away from other louder brands I’d run thinner chances of wearing the same bag as most people do… this time I’m wrong woops! 😬 不過今次係同兩位我好欣賞嘅本地女演員撞袋，咁就算啦! 😉
