#靳劉高作品回顧 #《知竹》紀錄了劉小康策展首屆北京國際設計三年展”知竹”展覽時所作的研究。書中除了載有二百多件展品的資料外,更有各地專家的文章,剖析全球竹產業現況。《知竹》是劉小康繼《CMYK》後,首部以研究為主的英文著作。

# “Rethinking Bamboo” is a book that comprehensively records the research done by Freeman and his team for the exhibition he curated for the first Beijing International Design Triennial (BIDT). Apart from images of the 200 pieces of exhibits, articles written by world-wide experts as well as detailed information collected and analysis done by the team are shown in the book in order to help the reader understand the bamboo industry. “Rethinking Bamboo” was launched after his another publication– “CMYK” and it’s Freeman’s first English book focusing on his bamboo research.

High-end lifestyle and crafts brand Jie Yi Tang’s products are rich in contemporary design and Chinese traditional elements. The two aesthetics were applied to the design of the brand image. Uncle Kan’s integration of calligraphy and Chinese ink painting provided the Chinese angle for the brand, while the design team at KL&K Creative Strategics, used a contemporary design expression, resulting in an image unique to the this extraordinary brand.

潮宏基潮宏基的CHJ以中國陶文線條展現,體現東方文化的韻味;標志中間三個鑽石形狀,像征著珠寶,體現企業的核心業務。顏色為深紅,格調高貴大方。中英文字體優雅、婉約。與室內設計師梁志天合作, 突顯品牌內涵。

The logo design uses “CHJ”, the acronym of the Chinese pinyin name, which takes on the structure of ancient Chinese pottery script to accentuate the East-Asian cultural character. Encased in the centre of the logo are three diamond shapes to represent jewellery – the core business of the brand. A majestic Crimson red was chosen as the brand colour to add depth to the overall brand image. Both Chinese and English logotypes adopt graceful, delicate lines. With Steve Leung at the helm of interior design, this was a brilliant brand creation project.

1.十二肖蛇舞月餅:與榮華攜手合作,將Qeelin的創作總監陳瑞麟的藝術品「蛇舞」,配合當代篆刻藝術及濃厚藝術色彩。
2.榮華金莎奶黃月餅:罐面為凹凸牡丹圖,黑色花瓣襯上粒粒金沙。設計高貴優雅,禮盒可收藏再用。

KL&K Creative Strategics created the following two brand logos:
1. Project Twelve is a cultural and design exploratory project. In the year of the Snake, Project Twelve collaborated with Wing Wah to launch the “She Wu Mooncake”. The design of the mooncake box merges two design elements - “She Wu”, a sculpture created by Dennis Chan, the creative director of Qeelin; and Chinese traditional seal carving.
2. Using an embossed relief of the company’s symbolic flower – the peony, the Wing Wah Custard Mooncake box uses only two colours – black for the peony’s petals while the rose gold dots coincide with the sprinkles of egg yolk found within the mooncake. The elegant two-layered box is intended to be a reusable collectible once the moreish mooncakes have been consumed.

KL&K Creative Strategics created the following two brand logos:
1. Macau’s Studio City Resort : The logo consists of the letter “X” formed from what appears to be two spotlights . The “X” represents boundless possibilities whereas the spotlights are a strong reference to the glamour of the red carpet giving the overall logo, layers of futuristic appeal.
2. P-Plus luxury products store: A brown, minimalist letter “P”, adorned with a “plus” sign endows a graceful air.

Kavon aims to become a global , art-inspired fashion brand. KL&K was chosen to be the brand’s visual designer, and worked closely with renowned US interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg to create an elegant and noble brand image. As a brand icon and cultural representation, the cymbidium orchid is used to reflect Kavon’s style, art and spiritual standing. The Far-East’s concept of “Zen” combines nature, harmony and beauty; all the more encapsulated by the cymbidium orchid, considered by Buddhists to be the “flower of zen”.

自從機場搬到赤鱲角之後,啟德機場重新發展成為一個佔地320公頃的集居住、工作、消閒和運輸樞紐。

我們聯手荷蘭著名平面設計師Michel de Boer及香港中文大學藝術系教授陳育強創造為啟德實現公共設計、公共藝術及公共活動。

Following the move of the airport to Chek Lap Kok, Kai Tak has since been undergoing re-development into a 320-hectare hub for living, work, leisure and transport.

We joined hands with well-renowned Dutch graphic designer Michel de Boer and Hong Kong Chinese University Art Professor Kurt Chan to realise Public Design, Public Art and Public Events in Kai Tak.

PMQ是香港政府推動創意產業的重要項目。我們於2012年與丹麥字體設計師Bo Linnemann聯手合作,為PMQ設計了一套專屬的字款及商標系統 —— 採用10款字體(即10個P、10個M和10個Q),可配搭出1000個不同的組合。

PMQ is one of the most important projects for the Hong Kong Government to promote the creative industry. In 2012, we worked with Mr. Bo Linnemann, a renowned Danish typographic designer, to create a set of fonts and a logo system for PMQ. The signature characters consist of 30 capital letters split into 10 custom-made fonts – 10 P’s, 10 M’s and 10 Q’s creating 1000 different logo variations.
