Year of the Horse.

The Portugieser Automatic 42 Year of the Horse features a stainless steel case and a burgundy dial. In traditional Chinese culture, the horse symbolises a spirited and uplifting energy and is also seen as the beginning of success and good fortune. The calibre 52011 is equipped with a rotor in the shape of a galloping horse.

The Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 722 Edition (Ref. IW388308) brings a small piece of the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR 722 to the wrist – quite literally: the dial was crafted using small pieces of magnesium from the legendary “Silver Arrow” sports car that raced to victory in one of Italy’s most gruelling road endurance races in 1955.

The case is made of titanium, a performance material characterised by its lightness and robustness. Powering this chronograph is the IWC-manufactured 69385 calibre, which is visible through the tinted sapphire glass case back.

The Ingenieur pop-up is now open at Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, until December 12th, 2025. It embraces the “Form und Technik” theme—celebrating the Ingenieur’s signature balance of form and function. Minimalist architecture with black and gold accents echoes the newest models in black ceramic and gold.

Paying tribute to the Ingenieur’s design legacy, the space features a curated vintage exhibition. In the 1970s, Gérald Genta created the Ingenieur SL, a visionary and bold design that exemplified the principle “less, but better”. Six vintage Ingenieur watches from the 1980s and 1990s are on display, showcasing a range of complications including automatic, quartz, perpetual calendar, chronograph alarm, and the antimagnetic 500,000 A/m model.

IWC Schaffhausen announces the opening of its boutique located within the prestigious Shoppes at Venetian in Macau. The new space features a sleek “Engineering Wall” and a welcoming bar and lounge area.

Taking centre stage is the Ingenieur collection, including the Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar 41 and the Ingenieur Automatic 40. These models highlight the brand’s
technical expertise and commitment to precision engineering. Visitors can also discover other IWC collections, including the Pilot’s Watch, Portugieser, and Portofino.

In focus: the Ingenieur Automatic 42 in black ceramic. To remain faithful to the proportions of the original stainless steel model, IWC engineers developed a ceramic case construction in three parts - a combination of satin-finishing, sandblasting, and polishing using diamond-tipped tools.

The solid gold rotor of the new Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Le Petit Prince takes the shape of Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s most famous character, standing on his asteroid.
