Glen Hansards guitar giclee print

I've always been a fan of Glen and the frames music and saw him and the frames play many times.

Glens, Takamine NP15, affectionately known as "The Horse," has been an integral part of Glens musical journey. Hansard played the guitar so much that he played a hole through it. He is quoted saying that its the guitar he enjoys playing the most. It has a great drive in it, it has something behind it, its like an engine, it sounds strong. Perfect for busking.

The original drawing is done in polychromo pencils on Bristol paper.

Prints are A4, 279 x 210mm

€10 from each print will be donated to The Simon Community in memory of Glen Hansard and Claires late father in law, Paul who volunteered in the Simon shop in Galway.

I got permission from Glens wife to donate in his name ❤️

Jeff Buckley's 1983 Fender USA Telecaster Giclée print.

Jeff is one of my favourite musicians. ❤️

Jeff was an American singer/songwriter who is celebrated for his haunting voice, emotive performances and genre-blending style.

His only studio album Grace won the prestigious Gran Prix International Du Disque — Academie Charles CROS — 1995, previously award to Edith Piaf, Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.

This telecaster originally belonged to Jeffs friend Janine Nicholas, who loaned the guitar to Jeff after his guitar was stolen. It became his favourite guitar and featured on all of his most important recordings and live tours.

Jeff tragically drowned in 1997. The guitar was returned to Janine, she wanted it to continue to make music. It found a new home with Muses' Matt Bellamy.

This original drawing of the guitar is done in Polychromo pencils on Bristol paper.

The next one in my guitar drawing series: 🎸🎸
David Gilmour's of the legendary Pink Floyd's Black Strat

Probably the most expensive guitar ever.. it sold for $14.55 million at an auction in March

Gilmour's heavily modified Black Strat—a Fender Stratocaster became the defining instrument of Pink Floyd's revolutionary sound and stands as one of rock history's most iconic guitars.  It made its first appearance at the Bath Festival in 1970, this legendary instrument shaped decades of music and remains instantly recognizable to fans worldwide.

The original drawing is done in polychromos on fabriano

Introducing my drawing of Kurt Cobain's iconic guitar, the 1969 Fender Competition Mustang, which he played in the grunge anthem"Smells Like Teen Spirit" 🎶

Nirvana's second album Nevermind introduced the world to this song which pushed this album to the number 1 spot in the music charts.

Cobain played this guitar in the iconic video for this song, at a high school pep rally. The video shows the band playing in a school gym filled with a rusty mist with the rally descending into chaos with Kurt leading the riot.

I got inspired to draw this guitar after seeing it at an exhibition in Newbridge 🎶. The background in the drawing echoes the mist from the video. ❤️

The original drawing is done in polychromos pencils on Bristol paper.

Introducing my new Rory Gallagher guitar print 🎸🎶

Rory Gallagher was an Irish blue-rock virtuoso whose raw talent and passionate performances captivated audiences worldwide.

Rory bought the 1961 Fender Stratocaster guitar in 1963 for £100, from Crowley's Music Store in Cork, Ireland. This guitar was Rory Gallagher's No.1 instrument through four decades and he played continuously both onstage and in the recording studio.

“Rory had a lot of guitars, but this was his main instrument, the mistress of the harem, as it were. This is the guitar he loved” Neil McCormick, music critic.

This guitar was sold at auction in 2024 and was given to the Irish state to be put on public display. Its not on display yet but hopefully soon 🤞

The original drawing is done with polychromo pencils on Bristol paper.
