Wishing everyone taking part in the tomorrow all the best. It is such an emotional event to watch.

I will be at the with my pop up table early due to road closure, I hope I get in so fingers crossed and I will be cheering them on from inside the centre and watching them grabbing a drink before/after the event and looking forward to the chats.

I have this sterling silver runner quite fitting for this special day. Runners and shoes, footwears in general is called 鞋 = xié in Chinese, which sounds like evil/off the path/slanted. Traditionally Taiwanese would decorate the house or wear the symbol of the Xie as a way to wear off the evil spirit and represent protection on one's path.

Handmade with solid sterling silver, my one and only Xie.

Doing markets and meeting customers directly has been amazing today and I miss it so much. It add the fuel back in me and I am so looking forward to tommorow.

Run!
Run towards your passion like you stole something.
Run!
Run with pace and ambition and keep your eyes on the prize.
Just run....
No matter how you get there, enjoy the journey.

Do you forage? Taking the gift from the mother nature you are surround with?

We love wild garlic, it's beautiful lush green leaves and speckle of white flowers covers in the forest, shadowed by the tall trees. We find the softest big leaces and we turn them into pesto or add them into dishes for flavour.

If you know my work, you know I work with metal. You may think, what is Chinese brush work has anything to do with soldering? Actually, alot. Both requires a strong eye and hand cordination, steading the hand and breathing. Years of Calligraphy brush work training gave me the foundation.

I cant bring my metal workshop everywhere, and its not feasible to go into a metalwork for 30 minutes, the pickling pot needs to be heated.... etc. You know some craft makers can make their craft on the spot while manding their stall at fairs? Ya... that's not me.

But, I can sit down and do quick sketches of drawing or ink brush work and I can bring my sketch books everywhere.

We used to forage alot, we picked leaves in the Spring, seafood in the summer and berries and nuts in autumn. It has always nurture our souls and bodies. It's like treasure hunting with my son.

I love how our daily ritual of lives shaping our future, our being and passing down to generations quietly. Memories to treasure, skills thaught and Making Home.

Fiest image teacup shown here is from very talented who was very kind for agreeing to post them down. We both held our breath during the shipling for this fine bone china. I get such great pleasure using it in my workshop.

Making Home - focusing on the Irish kitchen and the memories people carry through the objects that once filled it.

Kitchens are never just functional spaces—they hold stories, habits, and inherited ways of living. In Ireland, many of these memories are tied to everyday objects that shaped domestic life, often quietly marking the rhythm of the seasons.

Kitchens are never just functional spaces—they hold stories, routines, and the quiet acts of care that shape family life. Preparing dinner becomes a daily ritual of attention and repetition, where simple tools and ingredients take on deeper meaning.

From old Aga oven sitting on old bricks in the kitchen, a ceramic jar collects well used wooden spoons, jars of time collected from fermated food or jam making, knives etched chopping board from daily meals preping...

The tea towel is one of the most quietly essential items in the kitchen. Soft to the touch, often made of linen or cotton, it becomes part of countless small gestures—lifting hot pots, drying dishes, covering dough, or simply resting over a shoulder during work.

It is an object defined by use and movement, constantly passed from hand to hand, folded, washed, and returned to service. Its familiarity lies in its versatility and presence, always nearby, always in use.

In its simplicity, the tea towel holds the rhythm of domestic life—practical, tactile, and deeply embedded in the care of a home.
