Our Chennai chapter enjoyed a memorable day in February, exploring the fascinating Tamil Nadu Police Museum and sharing a delightful lunch at the iconic Ashoka Hotel.

During our Bangalore meet-up, we tried something completely new - a Flash Jam session with the amazing folks at . 🎶

Singing, Dancing Queen by ABBA, as a choir, learning harmonies, laughing through missed notes, and finding our rhythm together.

For many of us at Silver Talkies Club, it was a first. And that’s the magic of being in a group - things you might never dare to do alone suddenly feel possible.

A little nervous at first, a lot joyful by the end.
And definitely a memory we’ll keep humming.

February month’s meet-up in Bangalore was all about aging with grace and vibrancy!

We started our day at the new St. John's Geriatric Centre, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated exclusively to senior care. A huge thank you to Dr. Arvind Kasthuri, Head of the Centre, for the insightful tour and interaction. It’s inspiring to see healthcare evolving to meet our specific needs.

The highlight of the morning? Celebrating one of our own!

We had the honor of releasing member Hari Baskaran’s latest book, “Battling on to Vibrancy @80”. A perfect setting to celebrate a book that champions an active and spirited life.

And because we believe in keeping the vibe young, we wrapped up the day with a fantastic lunch at Koramangala Social. Great food, even better company!

Five days across Chettinad - Madurai, Karaikudi, Pudukkottai, Rameshwaram, and Thanjavur and it truly had it all.
From culture and spirituality to incredible local food. Our stay at the 120-year-old Chidambara Vilas made it even more memorable.
And the highlight? Kadangi sarees, music, and dancing our hearts out. Our members loved every bit of it.

Our Annual Talent Showcase was a whirlwind of inspiration and pure joy. From soulful melodies and energetic dancing to the fine details of crochet and oil painting, our members proved that talent only gets richer with time.

Highlights of the night included:
Soulful singing and music
High-energy dance routines
Heartfelt poetry
Expressive paintings and creative arts
Every performance told a story of passion rediscovered and the courage to share one’s art. We walked away smiling, feeling incredibly proud of this community.
