Growing up, it was almost impossible to see women at leisure. So, it’s a different intimacy for three friends hanging out on a summer afternoon, gossiping over the complexities of a good book, as intricate as the soft handspun cottons with jamdani work they wear.

@ bidisha_chattopadhyay is wearing a handspun off-white pure cotton jamdani with crimson and gold threadwork in a traditional jamdani pattern with small floret butis across the body.
