The 23rd Edition of the i5 Series was organised on 28th Nov 2025. The event was very well attended and witnessed young designers showcase innovative and inspiring work. The event was powered by Darpan Furnishings, ElevateX & Stellar.

IIID-HRC members celebrated Diwali Utsav Sammelan on 16th October 2025. HRC members came together to experience a unique cultural program, which included dance, singing and an open mic session. The event was graced by Ms Ananda UVL, who is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and trained under the tutelage of her late Guru Sri P. R. Balakrishnan. Ms Ananda mesmerised the audience with her soulful performance. Further, festive delicacies were served along with regional favourites.

IIID-HRC organised "The Designers Lens" - walkthroughs that tell the story from concept to ex*****on, on 27th September 2025.

A group of 30 designers visited the *Vipparthi House, Yapral, Secunderabad* to experience and learn about the sustainable and vernacular design practices implemented by *Ar. Raghava Prasad Vipparti and Ar. Ramani Vipparti*. The mesmerising structure showcased strategically planned passive design measures and use of time tested vernacular construction technics. Key features included use of clay blocks made on site, use of Jaali walls for enhanced ventilation, rainwater harvesting to trap 100% roof and non-roof rain runoff, natural on-site STP, use of repurposed and salvages materials, and many more.

We are very happy to share that the IIID HRC's sixth edition of the i3 series was a resounding success!

We had the opportunity to hear from renowned architects like Ar. Bomma Reddy Sridhar Reddy, Ar. Meghna Dulani Gehenwar, and Ar. Manasa Devabhaktuni.

i3 series is a one-of-a-kind platform that allows students to learn about the design process from expert architects. The speakers provided great insights and participated in insightful Q&A session.

We were delighted to see such a large participation from 10-12 architecture and design colleges. The event was a huge success, with almost 300 students participating.

The screening of RENZO PIANO: PIECE BY PIECE for IIID-HRC members and students was an overwhelming success. It is a documentary film and exhibition on Renzo Piano's architectural work, with a focus on his "piece by piece" design style. The documentary, directed by Christopher Tuckfield and released in 1999, examines Piano's vast career, highlighting his various projects and architectural ideas. The exhibition provides a retrospective of Renzo Piano Building Workshop and highlights their collaborative and cross-disciplinary approach to design.
