Most people walk into a formal event with a stack of business cards and a rehearsed pitch.

The result? A lot of surface-level small talk and zero lasting impact.

The real secret to building a powerhouse network isn’t found in a boardroom it’s found across the dinner table.

There is something primal and powerful about breaking bread; shared plates break down professional walls. You can’t be stiff and formal when you’re passing the bread.

If you want to transition from a “polite stranger” to a “memorable connection” at your next formal setting, keep these two rules in mind:

• The 70/30 Rule: Listen 70% of the time. The most interesting person in the room is usually the one who is the most interested. Ask about their “why,” not just their “what.”

• The Open Circle: Never stand in a closed square. Leave a physical gap in your group to invite a third person in. It signals that you are a “connector,” not a gatekeeper!

They say the early bird gets the worm, but in Mumbai, the early bird gets world-class coffee and life-changing business breakthroughs.

We took over .bandra bright and early Friday morning, and let me tell you the energy was on ✨

This wasn’t just a “networking breakfast.”

It was a morning curated from scratch by the owner, who went above and beyond to design a space just for us to connect.

It’s rare to find gems in Mumbai that welcome a big, high-energy group with open arms (and perfectly set tables) before the rest of the city has even hit snooze.

As the “scrumptious” plates started hitting the table honestly, a total must-try if you’re a foodie the magic started happening.

We didn’t just swap business cards. We swapped:

✨Hard-won lessons on growth.
💡 Fresh perspectives on business hurdles.
🤝 Genuine value that’ll last way longer than one morning.

It’s a beautiful thing when a group of people shares the same hunger not just for great food, but for seeing each other win.

To the dreamers, the doers, and the team for hosting us: my cup is officially full (and not just from the caffeine).

Community is the ultimate fuel 🙏🏻

A few years ago, I realised something really clearly.
Business can get lonely.
You’re building, figuring things out, making decisions every day and half the time, you’re doing it alone.
I remember one member from our community who joined us quietly.

No big pitch. No loud introductions.
Just showing up, listening, learning.

A few conversations later, they found collaborators.
Then clients.
Then confidence.
That’s when it hit me this is what community is actually supposed to do.

For me, it’s never been about exchanging numbers or adding people on LinkedIn.
It’s about creating spaces where people do business together,
- learn from each other’s journeys,
- and grow into stronger, more sure versions of themselves.

That belief is what took us from India
to Singapore, Dubai, and London and into everyday WhatsApp conversations across the country.
Different cities, different industries but the same intention everywhere: helping people grow through real relationships.

Because the right community doesn’t just support you.
It opens doors you didn’t even know existed.
And honestly?

That’s the kind of work I’ll always want to do.

I’ve always been scared of talking about money.

Growing up, we were taught not to speak about finances, not to ask, not to demand!

Somewhere along the line, women were conditioned to believe that money talk wasn’t for us. That being a homemaker meant “not earning,” even though it’s a full-time job that literally holds everything else together.

No one goes out to build careers or businesses without someone holding the fort at home.
But things are changing. And how.

I walked into a manifestation workshop at the Kala Ghoda Festival by without fully knowing what I was walking into. Honestly, I believe you always land exactly where you’re meant to and that evening, I was meant to be in that room.

The energy was electric. Warm. Powerful. The kind that quietly shifts something inside you.
What stayed with me most were three things:

- Her energy.
She truly breathes and lives what she teaches. The kind of presence that pulls you in and makes you want better—for yourself, your work, your life. She made me feel powerful, capable, and ready.

- The money conversation.

Loud, clear, unapologetic. Women must demand what they’re worth. Confidence and boundaries directly impact what we earn. She spoke about how men often ask for more in interviews while women settle for less and how that needs to change. That hit home.

- “Thoughts become things.”
We hear it all the time, but that reminder landed differently. Our relationship with money, abundance, and success is deeply tied to our energy and mindset. What you think, you attract. Simple but not easy—and so necessary to remember every single day.

I walked out inspired, lighter, and deeply grateful.
It was one of those evenings that nudges you forward gently but firmly.

Here’s hoping we are meant to be in many more rooms like this together soon!

Inspiring to always learn from each other.
To exchange ideas. To talk like friends not always business, business, business. We exchanged ideas, shared resources and spoke openly about our plans! I really hope when entrepreneurs sit together we can all succeed together. The joy is in rising as one!

That’s exactly what The Business Circle is about.
A space where we come together to share ideas, spark thoughts, exchange resources, inspire one another, and openly talk about what’s actually working for us as business owners.

This kind of honest communication and openness is so important. That’s why I launched The Business Circle.
We wrapped up our edit yesterday, and honestly it was such a joy to be in the room with such wonderful entrepreneurs.

I walked away learning so much, feeling inspired, and deeply grateful for the conversations we shared.
This is just the beginning

UAE was always special to me. On my last trip, something nudged me to put it out there on Instagramjust a simple call, no big plan.

I didn’t know who would respond, or if anyone would. But the replies that came back were filled with warmth, curiosity, and a deep desire for community.

People craving connection. People wanting to find their people again.

That’s how the WhatsApp group was born. Quietly. Organically. And today, here we were our second Networking Now India meet-up in Dubai. Grateful to

What moved me the most wasn’t the numbers. It was the stories.

People who had moved cities.

People who had been here for years but still felt new.
People who simply wanted to meet, connect, and feel a sense of community.

When I spoke to them on video, I had to pause for a second. It hit me this was real.

Across countries, timelines, and completely different lives, connection still found a way.

Watching the Dubai chapter grow, watching people open up and share space so effortlessly, reminded me why this community exists.

Today wasn’t loud. It wasn’t flashy.
It was honest.
And it was beautiful.
Feeling deeply grateful ✌️✨💪

At in Mumbai this Saturday, one of our members shared something that stayed with me.

She said she almost didn’t walk in.
The room felt unfamiliar luxury watches, new faces, conversations already happening. It didn’t feel like her usual space.

But she decided to stay anyway. She sat through a panel discussion on the luxury market, listened to conversations around building brands in India, and slowly started engaging. One question led to another. One conversation led to the next.

By the end of the day, she wasn’t on the outside anymore.

She had met people she wouldn’t have otherwise.
She had learned things she didn’t expect to.
And she left feeling more confident than when she walked in.

That story sums up what this experience was really about.

Networking isn’t about going to the same events and meeting the same people repeatedly. It’s about opening yourself up to new rooms rooms that feel unfamiliar at first but expand your thinking and your circle.

That’s what we aim to create through this community.
Spaces that feel organic, honest, and human.
Where connections happen naturally without pressure or pretense.

Because sometimes growth begins the moment you decide to stay in the room 🤍

I remember this founder clearly. She came for two events. Stood near the coffee. Listened more than she spoke.

After the second one, she said to me,
“Nothing really happened for me here.”
And I understood.

Because networking doesn’t feel like anything in the beginning.

- No instant wins.
- No obvious outcomes.
- Just conversations that end with, “Let’s stay in touch.”

But instead of leaving, she stayed.
A week later, she messaged someone she’d met.
They went for coffee.

That coffee turned into a long, honest conversation about pricing, fear, and self-doubt.

No sales. No pitch.

A few weeks later, that same person recommended her to someone else. Then someone else. From what I’ve seen again and again, almost 70% of real opportunities don’t happen at events. They happen in the quiet after.

My advice:
Don’t come to a community asking, “What will I get?”
Come asking, “Who can I get to know better?”

Going into 2026, this is something that really stuck with me.

I was sitting with a founder who told me,
“Sales are slow… I think I need to launch something new.”

But the more we spoke, the clearer it became it wasn’t about launching at all.

Too many offers. Confusing pricing. No clear direction.
And honestly? A little panic.

- We didn’t add anything.
- We removed things.
- One clear offering. Cleaner pricing.
- Better conversations with customers.

That’s when things started moving.

And this is what I keep seeing again and again:
• launching doesn’t fix confusion
• growth usually comes from simplifying
• confidence changes how you price, decide, and show up
• being in the right rooms makes you calmer and clearer
• founders who actually listen to customers and to what’s not working always do better

So before you rush into doing more in 2026, pause and ask yourself why.

If it’s fear, slow down.
If it’s clarity, go all in.

As 2025 wraps up, I just want to say this out loud - this year has been special.

Not because of numbers or milestones, but because of people.

Getting to know the humans that form our community has been my absolute favourite part.

New friendships, familiar faces turning into constants, and a community that’s grown into something I genuinely feel proud of.

NNI was never meant to be about surface-level networking. It’s about real conversations, real support, and connections that don’t start and end with “what do you do?”

And the fact that so many of you trusted us from day one, kept showing up, and chose to be part of this that honestly means everything.

This year gave us so many moments I’ll always remember interviewing , our first outstation jungle safari (still can’t believe we did that 😄), intimate lunches and dinners across Bombay, roundtables, coffee evenings, speed networking, and events that felt more like friends hanging out than “business events”.

If I’m being very honest — 2025 pulled me out of my shell.

This community reminded me why I started, why showing up matters, and why consistency always beats perfection. Some days were easy, some days were heavy, but I kept showing up and so did you.

My only wish as we step into a new year is this: that we continue to give as much as we take.

- Share advice. Share contacts. Share experiences. Because that’s the real way we all grow together.

Thank you for the love, the trust, the messages, the hugs at events, and the quiet support behind the scenes.

Here’s to more conversations, more connections, and a community that keeps getting stronger in 2026.
Ending this year feeling deeply grateful.

Happy last day of 2025 ❤️
