There is a lot of beauty even outside the great cities of art in Italy.
You don't even need to look for it, beauty and history are scattered everywhere.
If you follow this page you like authentic things, with a history of tradition, handmade by a craftsman. You are probably atypical tourists, seekers of authenticity and you like to discover, live a local experience when you visit a foreign country.
So let's stay atypical and talk about Montecarlo!
Montecarlo di Lucca, a tiny village a stone's throw from Lucca, but also very close to Florence, less than an hour by car.

In these days there was Via Vinaria, (every year in May), an event in which the cellars of the area are open to the public for people to try and know the world of wine where it is born and is refined in the skilled hands
of producers and cellarmen to become the prized wine of Montecarlo.
If instead you plan to come in September you will find the "Festa del Vino” (Wine Festival), an historic event that for over half a century has attracted tens of thousands of visitors from all over Tuscany and beyond.
This year it should start on Thursday 31 August and end on Sunday 10 September.
You could blend in with the locals and have fun tasting wines and typical products!
