After spending my childhood years in the stark beauty of the Australian Outback, I was drawn to Japan's ancient capital of Kyoto where I became immersed in the mystical world of Zen. Here simple yet sophisticated aesthetic principals permeate all aspects of daily life. Through my craft I seek to create a sen

se of harmony and balance that vividly refects my deep spiritual ties to both Australia and Japan. The changes I have experienced in my journey between these two lands–changes in landscape, light, culture, and the way of seeing the world– are all part of the creative spirit that inspires my life and my work. While most Jewellery designers live in Tokyo and employ others to craft their designs, our studio remains in the heart of traditional Japan, where we create our own designs just like the ancient artisans. Kyoto's Zen spirit drives our creativity and our craft, which is inseparable from the source of its inspiration. It is my philosophy to allow the individual character of each gem to come alive, and to accentuate each gem's unique qualities. Each piece is infused with a personal passion for creativity and original design.
