It all started nearly a decade ago when I made my first 10km marathon swim and began spending weekends by the sea.
I sought a Seiko 62MAS for my collection to symbolize my lifestyle, but opted for a beautiful 1960s skindiver, deeply captivated by simple form and lustrous dial.
Wearing my skindiver daily for years, I grew my collection. A dive watch avoiding water—such irony. But modern reissues lean luxury, failing to capture the practical charm. Upsizing by their “modern reinterpretation” ruins the perfect size that made 60s skindivers so versatile.
I felt driven to revive skindiver’s soul, unraveling its captivating yet simple beauty and designing my ideal watch. Not for watch snobs, but affordable, practical, versatile timepiece, just like they used to be in the 60s, by faithfully recreating its iconic size and details.
