The fight between snake eating birds and snake is a deadly one . In some cases birds get trapped in the snake's coils, which may allow the snakes to overpower them. The bird’s strategy is often to tire the snake out until it can strike it in the back of the head.

"Love in the jungle"
After a long pursuits and patient waiting, the female invites copulation, the male tries to grip her neck before mounting. This may induce passivity in the female, but quite often a female will try to escape, twisting and scratching. Once the male straddles the female,it doesn't grasp her with the forelegs as in most carnivores. Small cats commonly maintains neck grip the whole time where in panthers species the bite has been reduced to a mere baring of the teeth or a symbolic bite a moment after ej*******on. Immediately afterwards the female screams or snarls and often twists and hits out of the male, which jumps back, growling.

This is a territorial male urine-spraying to mark the territory.

First note that, a territorial male maintains 20-30 dung maiddens where he always defecates, scattering and excavating the pile with slow, ritualized kicks before and after. Funny enough, females and young and non territorial males will only add their deposit but without kicking. For this matter only the territorial male spray urine and only on territory. First the bull horn wipes a bush or the ground, then scrapes with all feet, then sprays this spot 3-5times. The patrolling bulls urine mark about 10 time an hour. They will also pause to scrape mark their paths every 30m or so. Note that marking is most concentrated along territorial boundaries.

Why does an elephant has a trunk?

The elephant got it's trunk, the story goes....because one small elephant child was so curious as to what a hungry crocodile ate for dinner that he got too close to it. The crocodile then bit and pulled its bulgy nose and stretched it out. From then on, the elephant child was able to stuff large bundles of grass into its mouth with ease.
The truth, of course, is likely to be different to Rudyard Kipling's elephant child story.
And now researchers have sought to understand exactly what that is; and establish why elephants and giraffes have such long trunks and tongues.

A very interesting scenario, what I don't know is whether they are aware that the lion is part of the audience.

Lioness have two mammary glands, however they give birth to up to 6 cubs at a time but litters of 2 or 3 are more common, what is interesting is that all the lactating females in a pride suckle cubs showing no favoritism for their own offspring. The reason for this is that each lioness is enhancing her own genes' success by helping to raise her sisters' offspring.

A bull elephant so calm and relaxed in the company of humans?
Yes, he is not in musth and an elephant is actually a gentle animal.

They can kill, of course, for certain reasons, but generally speaking they are not killers.
In an article, it mentioned the fact that a guide took tourists out to see wild elephants. These elephants had never experienced poaching, lost a family member to it or human cruelty in any form (today, it is rare to find these herds, and if you are so lucky, they are always found within well-protected areas). They were as they should be, wild and pure.

For these reasons, they trusted and were not afraid of humans. They came up to them, and the guide said that a few cows even showed off their calves to the human visitors. They rumbled between each other, Mother to calf as if they were discussing the human visitors, and then after 30 mins., they quietly drifted away into the wilderness.

Two rules of the jungle ; you don't get it so easily. And don't lazy around waiting to be hunted ... Both hunter and hunted have to go out of their ways to outsmart the other. Either you die and get eaten or you loose and die out of hunger. Either way you have to toil and soil

This direct stare can be in both situations of two lions, a stranger and a resident. Mostly the stranger often appears more at ease than the resident. In like manner, a stalking lion sits up and looks around indifferently when it is spotted by its intended victim. In both situations they are seen to be disconcerted by a direct stare, and indeed a lion on the defensive can also halt the approach of an aggressive opponent by looking directly towards it.
