🌍 Healing Nature, Serving Humanity 🌿

​At Iloing’ok CBO, we believe that true conservation only succeeds when the community thrives alongside the wildlife we protect. Today marks a historic milestone in our journey toward a sustainable future for the Amboseli-Kitirua ecosystem! 🐘✹

​We are proud to have participated in the formal validation of our Community Conservancy Management Plan. Under the expert curatorship of WWF-Kenya, and in collaboration with local leaders, conservation bodies, and like-minded partners, we have moved from a draft vision to a Validated, Actionable Compact.

​What does this mean for our community?

It’s all about balance. Our new roadmap harmonizes two vital pillars:

​✅ Regulation: Strengthening our role as gatekeepers of the land. From smart grazing management to protecting vital wildlife corridors, we are ensuring our natural heritage remains intact for generations to come.

​✅ Service Delivery: Living true to our call to serve humanity. This compact locks in tangible benefits—from tourism revenues, educational bursaries and healthcare initiatives to livestock support and economic empowerment.

​This isn’t just a document; it’s a social contract. By healing nature, we provide the foundation to serve our people better. When the land is healthy, the community is resilient! 🇰đŸ‡Ș🐄

In a bold step toward empowering our community, Iloing'ok Community Based Organization today issued bursary cheques worth KES 260,000 to support 26 bright but needy students. This initiative ensures that their education continues uninterrupted, despite the challenges they face.

Behind every cheque is a dream kept alive, a future protected, and a story being rewritten.

We firmly believe that education remains the most powerful and effective tool for bridging the gap between different socio-economic backgrounds.
