Are you currently traveling in Jeju?
If yes, then you gotta check out Eongttopokpo Falls (엉또폭포) — the perfect spot at this moment!
This waterfall only appears after heavy rainfall, usually when it rains over 70 millimeters.
Surrounded by lush forest and unique rock cliffs, this hidden gem is normally just a dry rocky cliff, but right after a downpour, it turns into a powerful and majestic waterfall.
Now’s the perfect time to check it out~~
Pippi thinks the waterfall will keep flowing at least until tomorrow morning~~

“I went to Yongmeori coast 3 times and it's always close because of high tide.. I feel disappointed already because I always ride an expensive taxi just to get there but they always close it.”.

She’s been to Yongmeori Coast three times already, only to find it closed every single time because of the high tide~~😭😭

Here’s a little tip: every morning, Yongmeori Coast posts an update on their Instagram () about whether they’re open and opening hours. You can also just give them a quick call at 064-760-6321 to check ahead.

Today, all buses on Jeju Island offer free rides to all passengers.
Why?
Because today is April 3rd, the 78th anniversary of the Jeju April 3rd Incident.
To commemorate this day, buses are being offered free of charge.

The Jeju April 3 Incident is the most terrible tragedy of Jeju island and South Korea. During the nearly 7 years from 1948 to 1954, about 10% of Jeju’s population -approximately 25,000 to 30,000 people-lost their lives.

“The Jeju April 3 Incident is a series of events in which thousands of islanders were killed as a result of clashes between armed civilian groups and government forces. It took place over the period from March 1, 1947, when the National Police opened fire on the protesters in Jeju Island, and April 3, 1948, when members from the Jeju branch of the South Korean Labor Party began an uprising to protest against the South Korean government, to September 21, 1954, when people who had escaped from military attacks went back to their homes finally.” – Jeju April 3rd Peace Park
