Buckwheat flowers here have just started blooming today. 🥰
Pippi thinks they will be in full bloom within a week.
A local business in the village runs a cafe and a restaurant specializing in buckwheat dishes!
Their food is really good, especially great for vegans. 🍲
Entrance to the buckwheat field is free. If you want to enjoy the flowers without buying any food, that’s perfectly fine too.

Do you know why?
Jeju grows many types of , each with its own unique charm.
The yellow ones you see now are from an extra-early ripening variety (극조생) that arrives first to the party.
The green ones?
They’ll start ripening and turning yellow from November onward. 😁

Jeju‘s underground consists of thin lava layers stacked like a pile of pancakes.
When rain falls on Hallasan Mountain, the water quickly penetrates the ground and flows through these lava layers one by one.
Yongcheonsu is a natural spring that served as a vital water source for the people of Jeju in the past.

Pippi walked along the springs in Yaerae Village, where four major Yongcheonsu water sources are located.
